To Pat's point it's more the fact that the person dating your mom is Michael Scott is why it's so bad. It's already bad enough your boss is dating your mom but for it to be Michael Scott you know you're not gonna hear the end of it.

Excellent point. If Pam's Mom had been dating David Wallace (if single) or Charles Miner she probably still would have felt a little weird about it, but she wouldn't have freaked out or even objected. Even someone else in the office, like Toby or Stanley (if single) wouldn't have sent her off the rails. Dwight and Ryan are the other two regular characters that I think would have garnered the same response if they dated Pam's mom.

The bleeped out cursing really emphasizes the gravity of the situation and makes it funnier. Michael should just have listened to Pam…she said he just a rebound 🤷🏽‍♀️ the whole section where they are in Michael’s office with the Parrot is brilliant. And this is definitely my favorite funny Pam moment (she’s one of my favorite characters too).

I wouldn't care if Michael dated my mom. It doesn't affect me at all. She's old enough to do whatever she wants, we have our own separate lives at this point in our lives and at the end of the day, nobody is fucking my mom. I will never have to hear any weird shit like that at work from him or whoever I'm working with in this hypothetical.
