Wellz, this isn’t how Otsutsuki become otsutsuki. There are natural born Otsutsuki like Kaguya, Momoshiki, Kinshiki, Urashiki, Isshiki, Hagoromo, Toneri and Hamura . You’ll learn more about Karma and such a little later that might go more in-depth and help you understand. That’s all I’ll say bc anything more will spoil

Guys think about it from shikamarus perspective. Its not that he just let them go on their own even though they're kids, But they're trained shinobi, when he was their age he did similar things. Also he CANT leave the village when naruto is missing and sasuke is in critical condition incase kara attacks the village , someone has to be there to protect it.

With Naruto gone and sasuke in bad condition, I’m assuming shikamaru as the de facto leader has to stick by the village, that’s why he couldn’t go

That new opening was heat. I love the visuals. Boruto openings just keep getting better and better. This one did have some spoilers but not too much. Realistically the studio should’ve just made shikamaru jump at the portal and it disperse before he could get through it just how jigen did with Sasuke escaping. The studio clearly just wanted Team 7 to have their own battle with no help.

If shadow paralysis didn't work then nothing else would've worked with Shikamaru. Plus it would've been irresponsible for him to jump into the portal without any information on where they're going and who might be there.

Nah i agree with Pat in this argument. Wells and the others are acting like dumbass idiots and be the type to do rational shit. Shikamaru is the advisor he can't just up and leave the village to go off into a random ass portal that leads to God knows where? He knows Naruto and Sasuke are in critical condition and at any point this could've been a ploy just so that the other members of Kara could attack the leaf village. While Naruto and Sasuke are gone or busy or incapacitated it's up to Shikamaru and even Kakashi and the other group of Leaf ninjas to hold down the fort and protect the village. Also, no, Shikadai is just like his father he's not going to rashly jump into a portal with Boruto and disobey his father in making dumb rash decisions. Like what? He couldn't have stopped them Kawaki literally used his Karma to absorb his shadow at that point there was nothing Shikamaru could do knowing he would just absorb more of his shadow again.
