The Navy is indeed corrupt, but you need to understand that they are not bad guys, there are the antagonist in the story because we view it from a Pirate's perspective, Pirates are horrible people, who commit all kinds of crimes, of course there's exceptions, but exceptions don't define a rule.

I think it may do y'all some good to rewatch Ace's death scene, because you are misquoting Ace's last words. But it ain't a big deal, it just can cause some confusion, and maybe some missed opportunity with some end of episode discussion theories. Great reaction!

I just realized something rewatching this ,when ace said sabo name to luffy doesn’t that mean he knew that he was alive at the time and wouldn’t have luffy thought the same??

Wellz misremembered what Ace said. Luffy says "You said you'd never die, isn't that what you told me Ace?" Ace responds, "Yeah it reminds me of Sabo. If I didn't have a little brother that needed to be taken care of, I would've given up then". So it implies the exact opposite.

In case anyone from rt tv sees this, ace never told luffy to say hi to sabo. Luffy told ace he promised him he'd never die, and ace says "yeah, it reminds me of sabo. if i didn't have a little brother that needed to be taken care of, i would've given up then. Which reminds me, if you ever see dadan again, please give her my regards" a VERY important distinction to make
