Has Simon sighed his death warrant? I'd say that's a fair speculation. This is the big thing I did like about S7 and S8; Negan is not evil, or at least he does not see himself as evil. He has an endgame unlike The Governor, The Cannibals, The Wolves, etc. He wants to rebuild society, but he's allowed his own power to corrupt him.

i only saw Rick and the family as the “ good guys!” But Rick would kill everybody, and Negan would start out with 1! But that still doesn’t make me like Negan! That one person he kills, could be someone you love more than 100 people. Like for Maggie & Sasha, they were never the same after their lost. I’ll have to say Negan was kinda better than, the Governor and the Terminus people! At least he didn’t kill everyone or eat them, but he did make people slaves, and that was definitely wrong! I guess in the apocalypse, there is no Black & White, but a lot of Gray Area 💗 something that little, crazy Lizzie Borden said, “ sometimes you have to kill, but sometimes you don’t!” But people, instead of Walkers❣️
