Did they all really just give in to Rob? now they are all agreeing and saying this shit is will power. The narrator literally said "after hundreds and thousands of hits the king was beginning to feel the slightest hints of dull pain" so he wouldn't even need to have will power to bounce back from them. Sad that Rob alone might ruin the entire show experience on his own with those 2 words.

Great episode and everything, just a few things tho. It's really funny how y'all said this fight was pure 100% willpower then acknowledge how strategic both fighters were. Like it's as if every little thing in the series needs to have some form of willpower when in actuality it's just the intelligence of the fighters. From Netero's fail-safe bomb to Meruem's time with Komugi influencing how to approach Netero's fighting style this fight was 100% strategy not some willpower bs. Another thing is no one was saying Gon wasn't smart, Gon isn't in the correct mental state and the only reason he didn't go ape shit was because Killua was there to remind him that they're fighting for someone else (but that would involve praising Killua so god forbid). Even though he's incredibly focused right now he's not in a good mental state and the series acknowledges that.

Reaction was great and all. Interesting discussion about Gon still being "himself" lmao.....but I swear everytime I hear the word willpower I get a dull ache in my stomach.

At this point, I really don't mind the willpower spam from Rob. It's going to be funny to see/hear him say it in the middle of THAT episode and then realize by the end that willpower in this show has consequences.

Gon is going through pain, and I don't think people were putting down Gon because of that... more so people were defending the unnecessary hate you were giving Killua, who is also going through pain. Gin is everything to Killua, and he was struggling because he didn't think he could help Gon. When I watched this on my own, I wasn't pitting Gon vs Killua, I was appreciating each character's journey and struggle with emotion.

Remember, the stronger your resolve - the stronger your Nen. So yes it does take Willpower. Both Gon and Netero's resolve/willpower was so strong that it gave their Nen the extra boost in strength. Netero's training was PURE willpower. Nen is life energy and your traits effect your Nen type. Willpower and resolve make your Nen more powerful. HOWEVER yes its not the ONLY thing that matters in HxH. You still can't deny that Nen doesn't require willpower when it does.

rob is wrong, the king isn't talking about who they fight for, he's talking about what their power is a result of. netero could only be as strong as his training made him, while meruem had an entire species dedicate themselves to making meruem as strong as possible.

There are two variations to Netero's line at the end. That line has been translated as either "humanity's infinite potential for evolution" or "humanity's infinite potential for malice/evil." I like the second one better, and it'll make a lot more sense than the first one in context next episode.

Great reaction, everyone actually had really solid theories in the post episode discussion. Also big shoutout to yall for actually liking the narrator, I swear that's one of the biggest complaints most people and even other reactors have about this arc and I've never found it to be annoying. Always good watching a GOAT episode from the best reaction channel.

I think the first version is better, because he says that right after the king talks about how the chimera ant’s years of evolution has culminated in him (king) Netero is basically saying humans are evolving too and not to one point (a king) but to an unseen unfathomable point. And it fits perfectly cause the king was defeated by that evolution (technology)
