Rob and jerry completely missed the point lmao. Killua was the reason gon didn’t kill pitou, not willpower. I’ve never seen any reactor call killua a pussy after gon gives him shit for no reason until now. Killua isn’t a pussy for getting upset at that, he was being rational while gon was blinded with rage. Killua cares for gon more than anything in the world, so to hear that from his best friend gives him a pretty rational reason to be upset.

No surprising Rob thinks everyone who conveys any emotion other than rage or melancholy is soft or a bitch. He'll take anything Killua does or say and twist it around to make him look bad even though it's by design to make the character more interesting. I think the most important part that some of you are overlooking is the fact that Gon and Killua both think that Kite is still alive. They think he can still be healed. Based on that view point, it would be stupid if Gon killed Pitou right then and there, because they would have no chance of saving Kite. Killua did the right thing by trying to calm Gon down, because their goal is to save Kite is it not? Great reaction! I also liked that Rob said "I see the narrator as a character." 100% my dude

I'm officially tuning Rob out. There's no layers to his analysis whatsoever. I don't mind disagreeing about a POV, but your reasoning is so one note.... I thought the willpower thing was just kind of a funny troll to the viewers, but now I think you really believe that is the only thing that makes a character any good.... I think Gon definitely has a more emotional tie to Kite, so his anger is more raw in this situation, but I think Killua cares too, he's just being more rational, and actually showing compassion, not for Pitou, but for Kormugi (sp). I never comment on this stuff but I'm really convinced Pat and Wellz are the only two who truly pay attention to this show. This episode is top 3 favorites of mine in hxh and the way it was reacted to was really disappointing. How Gon is acting is not good, at all. It's not savage or willpower, it's really sad and shows how mentally unstable he is at the moment.

Remember this was the boy that asked Chrollo "How can you kill people that have nothing to do with you?" and told Kurapika he shouldn't seek revenge. I know that a few of the upcoming episodes are considered the best of the arc (for good reason) but 116 is my personal favorite. It's so refreshing to see a shonen protagonist not being idealistic and taking the moral highroad. No forgiving the enemy no matter what he/she has done, no talk from a loved one to snap him back to normal. Just pure rage and hypocrisy. Loved the realism and tension of this episode. 10/10 writing from the goat Togashi
