Well way back at Heaven's Arena, Wing & Hisoka taught us that Nen strength depends on mental fortitude/state. I think it was repeated a couple of times too. If you lack focus, then your Nen wavers. You can kinda call blackout anger "focus". You're zoned into dropping bodies technically. Lol.

Don't forget according to their thinking if Gon kills Pito they have no change of getting Kite back. But since Gon's been pressured into this situation hes blacking out so bad hes forgetting why he has gone there in the first place. Hes still a child. And his rightful anger towards pito is bordering on tantrum because he can't have his way. (take tantrum lightly because even though hes still a child hes a child with massive amounts of power even for the hxh universe) Its completely understandable from Gon's perspective. But he has to be in the right situation to lose all control where saving kite isn't a risk anymore. And he isn't in that position yet. Plus Killua is drawing parallels between Gon and Pito, and Komugi and Kite. If Gon attacks Pito, therefore killing Komugi then he'd be just as bad as Pito. Not caring for a life and the effect that has on the people it has around them. Which is why this situation hit so deep for Killua and its why Killua's grandpa said what he said to Killua and what he said when he first saw Meruem holding Komugi and chose not to fight then. They came into the battle thinking the ants are just inhuman monsters with no value for life. But they've evolved past that and the situation is more complicated now. The ants goals are intertwined with the hunters goals. And killing an innocent that means something to an ant when given the option not to would be the same as killing a part of themselves. They're quickly coming to the horrible realization that the ants are more human than they'd thought and taking a step out of line in terms of their mission goal would mean becoming more inhuman and ant like.

Rob gave Killua props about being smart calm down ppl, hes also right about him not caring about kite. Of course he knows killua didn’t want kite to die, but hes an assassin life doesnt mean nearly as much to him and he barely knew kite at all, he had just met him so gon was right to say what he did. I know in the 2011 anime they didnt show kites meeting in the beginning with gon until the start of this arc through a quick flash, but it actually took place in a chapter and episode in the manga & 1999 ver (canon)kite is MUCH more important to gon then in seems in the 2011 ver. Bcus he actually gave gon his dads hunter license at the very start!!! NOT after greed island! Plus with their connection through ging, gon has the right to be that emotional!!!!! Killua needs to keep being a careful friend but also fall the fuck back!!

Its funny they say this, but Gon has done exactly what Killua did this time. He wanted Kurapika to not become a murderer, and he didn't want those guys on Greed Island to die either. Killua does care less, but Gon was in that pissed state where he said shit purely to try and hurt Killua. He was out of pocket the whole time. It was understandable and you don't know how you would react in that situation, but you can't say he wasn't out of pocket.

Killua knows Gon. They're best friends. He COMPLETELY understands where Gon is coming from, probably more than anyone else. At the same time, Gon is at the point where he could potentially lose his humanity. Imagine if he killed Pitou in his rage, then when he regained his senses and realized that he indirectly caused the death of someone else, he would never forgive himself. Killua was saving him from that. And by the way, y'all are talking like Gon can easily beat Pitou. Keep in mind she can still tear them both apart without blinking an eye. Yo I don’t know if you guys realized that Gon needed Killua to be there. If Gon was alone then he would’ve killed Pitou and Komugi no question. He didn’t hold himself back alone, he needed Killua to stop him. Also, notice how Gon continued to try and attack even when Killua told him that Pitou is really healing Komugi. Gon only stopped after Killua mentioned that they needed Pitou to save Kite. So after all this, Gon still didn’t give a shit about an innocent girl. He only stopped for Kite.

1 FuckRobCity 2 Killua is doing what hes doing for Gon. Rob is missing the whole point of Killua, him being perfectly calm doesn't mean he doesn't care he is just very in control with his emotions, he was raised like that. Killua cares for Gon a lot, so he is trying his best. Killua knows if Gon would have gone off right at that moment Komugi could have died too. Killua isn't someone who lets rage blind him just like it is blinding Gon.
