I always saw the forbidding of women to learn waterbending as a reflection of sexist traditions that exist in real life cultures— that is, real patriarchies, not the modern attempts to call anything vaguely male-centered a patriarchy. Also, glad to see the big guy on the far left getting hype. People say he’s not into it, and I have my doubts occasionally, but I believe he’s just an introverted dude and reacts internally mostly. He has moments like in this reaction where he’ll pop out of his head for hype shit. He’s with us, guys, I know he is. :)

I remember watching this as a kid thinking, they ain't come halfway across the world for you to just turn her away. I was rooting for Katara so hard in this ep., but Pakku's skills were too nice. Lol yall's reaction to Sokka and Yue's interactions had me weak. In the whole series, I don't think anyone irritated me more than Zhao. Others have their moments, but I usually respect a character to an extent. Not this dude. He's just not likable lol

I hope you guys react to both parts at once! They aired as a double episode so it doesn't really make sense to watch them separately.
