This was the episode you REALLY realised just how much of a threat the White Walkers are. Us the viewers and eveyhone at Hardhome. Jon's face at the end tells it.

@RTTVYou guys mentioned that tall wanted to see stuff about the life of the mad king. If you go on YouTube HBO has a bunch of lore videos narrated by the cast of the show. Up to this point this episode is my 5th favorite after 4-9, 4-10, 2-9 and 3-4. It's #7 in my top 10. It's f'in great. I did the same thing and immediately rewatched the Hardhome section the first time I saw this.

If you want to know more about the Mad King, Robert's Rebellion and ALL the backstories of this world, but you don't want to read the books, HBO released the Histories and Lore onto YouTube. Each season has its own Histories and Lore to go along with the themes of the season. Also, read the books- they are EPIC.

My favourite episodes are s3 ep4, s6 ep 4, s4 the episode where Tyrion has his Speech™️ (and literally any scene with Oberyn Martell) s6 ep9 and s6 ep10. Even though overall season 4 was my favourite season (it was the most consistent and raised the stakes for all the characters really well), season six has some of the best episodes. It’s not as consistent, but its highs reach wayyy beyond season 4’s highs.

My favorite to this point... season 4 episode 10 - The Children - Bran reaches Blood Raven resulting in Jojen's foreseen death, Tyrion kills Shea and Tywin, and Brienne fights The Hound resulting in Arya leaving for Bravos.

right the dead are just zombies. I wouldn't say much more than that because it can get spoilery. We do know that the king white walker has the reanimation power but beyond that the walkers are still mysterious
