May Updates (Patreon)

Update time! Most of you guys know I like to be transparent with the Patreon funds, so I'd like let you know what's going on since the stakes have been raised.

Starting today, I'm an animation student. Yup, I'm scared too. I've officially started a 4-week course on CG Master Academy on Beginner Animation, and a course taught by art director Patrick O'Keefe (Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse) on 2D Sequence Illustration. Both started today and both were funded by you guys.  Sprinkle those Aaron Blaise courses I've neglected and you've got yourself a part-time student! Why?

While there's nothing bad about the 2018 painting, I want my 2D art to tell a story. I want to improve my lines and color, and that desire hasn't gone away. I'm hoping a paid course will give me the structure I needed. Aside from my "career goal" (am I pursuing a career in animation at this point?), I want to improve my Zoot art and do more animatics, animations, and illustrations. So here we are!

I know I sound like a broken record, but THANK YOU. Thank you so much, guys. Thanks for supporting me and encouraging me and just being an awesome group in general. So many different doors have opened up for me just from having a little more courage thanks to you all, and because of it I really feel like I'm getting somewhere in my "hobby". Let's see how far we go!

Still no word on the Discord yet - I'm still umming and ahhing over it XD.
