i feel like every time i say i'm not gonna get much work done i end up doing 2 days worth of work in a single sitting. maybe i ought to doubt myself more often - self-induced reverse psychology type shit. hip still hurts but that's nothing ibuprofen can't temporarily solve

anyways here's the first animated preview for the flint project! some stuff to note for this specific preview (pretty obvious stuff but i feel like pointing it out anyway because i like writing this stuff down to organize my thoughts):

   - the tail still needs to be animated along with the body/hair physics, but i should probably be able to determine an easy and efficient enough way to deal with that - especially after my test run with it in the mal0 animation

   - rendered this without the background or lighting because it likely would've ended up taking a dozen times as long to render otherwise

   - the last quarter of this is sort of animated, but i'd like to hold off on sharing that till i polish it up a bit. it's not nearly as long as this segment - so it shouldn't take very long to do

   - the facial animations are mostly worked out, but i would like to add a bit more variation to the main loop

to sum it up (and stop myself from rambling anymore) - i'm around 60% done with the animation, possibly 70% depending on how much the physics give me trouble and all that fun stuff. ill try to be back tomorrow with another preview, which should include the last bit as well. after that, it should be a pretty straightforward path to the finish line. till then, thanks for the support and take care :]

oh also as a bonus, here's the full-quality version of the preview render i'm uploading to twitter since that shit is inevitably gonna get compressed into oblivion:
