Are you tired of waiting for Chapter 2?

Well I have the solution for you. Introducing...



I'm kidding...

Relax.

If you were alive on this page last Monday, you'd know I just did a livestream. On that livestream, a couple things happened.

  • 7 people showed up.
  • My voice was cringe, mate.
  • And the livestream footage got blocked worldwide because of copyrighted music.

Oh yea, we were also working on the combat system. I just wanted you to know the other things.

Anywhore, if you watched the Dev Update video before reading this (I'm assuming you did since it's the first thing you see on this post), you probably don't know much of whatever that just was.

Allow me to explain.

I think that just about sums it up...

What? You wanted an actual explanation?

Really making me work here...


Okay, so it's pretty self explanatory what the words "Player", "Companion", and "Enemy Chicks" mean. However, here is what the rest of the things are:

  • Normal Attack: Use that character's base damage to attack.
  • Special: Could be an attack like a wedgie, pantsing, or you could heal yourself or a teammate. All for Special Points (SP).
  • Block: Take less damage at the cost of a turn. This can be used to protect the player (essentially a King piece in chess) while using a stronger companion.
  • Health Potion: I want you to guess what this does. Go ahead... If you guessed "Instakills everyone on the field", you were close. But no, it heals you or your teammate at the cost of a potion. It's also more effective than healing with SP.


Concepts

There really isn't much to put here. You guys pretty much already know where I plan on taking this. First, I'll focus on getting this combat system done, then I'll get a couple of training scenes, make the two NSFW scenes with Tigress and Wing Wu, and then finish off the Chapter with that "surprise" I've been so eager to tell everyone about. Once all that is done, I'll release Chapter 2, and I can start production on Chapter 3 (Which won't take as long to make, hopefully).

Coding

Can I just say that trying to figure out all of the possibilities that could go wrong in my logic while livestreaming is a rather daunting task.

Because I'm trying to dumb down the code for both of us since I have a fraction of my mind working on dumbing down the code, while the other actually tries to add more code.

What I can say is that I made the system universal. So I can use the exact same code for both paths and we won't have any issues.

Now we just need a functioning Special Attack button, and the game needs to skip to a cinematic after you win.

Nuff said.


Art

Basically, these are the bases I'm using for the miniatures. Obviously they will be modified depending on the character, but for now they are doing a great job on showing me how everything will look.

The 14.64% is just a note for myself that they need to be reduced in size to 14.64% before I add them in. Don't worry, we're MUCH farther than 15% in Development.

Here you can see I fixed the two heads of the Kung Fu trainees Kitty and Fox and removed the "hair" that they had. Ignore the Fox's left ear, I'll fix it in lining.

Here we have the Dog and the Bunny. Sorry if you didn't want their nudity spoiled, but I promise to keep the cinematics a secret until release. ;)


4 bases down, 4 to go. Really looking forward to drawing the bandit chicks. They all look really cool.

Miscellaneous


TKWC released a booty-full pic on his DA recently. 

I'm sure a lot of you would like me to speed up on the progress of this game, and trust me, I wish I could release a Chapter every day. But I'm only one guy. MITY has an entire team for their game and they still only release every once in a while. So don't worry guys, we're right on schedule.
