Elisa Lam was a Canadian student who vanished during a solo trip while she was staying at the infamous Hotel Cecil in Los Angeles. When guests complained about the water pressure at the hotel, authorities were alerted to the discovery of the missing woman in one of the buildings water tanks. CCTV footage from a hotel elevator emerged showing Elisa exhibiting bizarre, eery behaviours which immediately set the online mystery-solving community on fire.
