Everything is off schedule!

My worst fears realized, the original video dispute is still in dispute process being hit with the dreaded "blocked worldwide". I then made a recut of it shifting some things around, muting tracks here and there, using different clips, also no dice. I'm currently putting together the "extra safe version" to get past the current bots. I suspect that something has changed drastically in how the movies are licensed, since when I did the video on War of the Ring in 2017 I didn't get so much as a peep about it even though I used complete music tracks and some scenes from the Lord of the Rings films. Funnily enough, that one has also not been bothered with at all since. Back then, the networks on YouTube had a perk where they basically avoided scan by copyrights bots, which was downgraded to "you'll be scanned but not autoclaimed by them" in 2018, and I think that's completely gone this year. This experience of having it put together properly has been kind of a nightmare since I've had different versions get different parts claimed, which I hoped to avoid in the testing I did before. Strangely enough, some test footage had nothing at all claimed, with the most bizarre one being where an entire music track from Fellowship of the Ring didn't bother it on that upload, then it DID bother it on an identical second upload of the video with a COVER of the song by an orchestra, then a third different section with the same official  music track as the first did bother it again. When I stripped music completely, WB claimed an in-game cutscene using movie audio as being the scene from the movie. Then just sound effects.

In short, there's going to be no more movie licensed game videos for a long time after this. Riddick games being the only exception that I really want to have something out on.

I've also been struck with the curse where, after doing re-edits, I'm not starting to like some things about the re-edit more than the video I originally put together, and now it's gotten a bit longer. The original video is still being disputed for the claim, but I'd rather not have everyone wait three more weeks for something I had done a week ago. Normally, in this case I'd just upload the thing onto drive or something here, but there are some circumstances that prevent me from doing so.

Anyways, in no relation to the previous paragraph, I'm at least going to show who the special guest is. I was hoping to keep it a big secret until the video itself, but I think it'll help make things a bit more understandable, and since everyone reading this is making this happen at all you might as well know first.

There's going to be a light James Bond story. I don't think I expected that.

In the meanwhile, when I haven't been banging my head against an editor trying to get everything resorted in a way that won't get me tearing my hair out, I've been taking some breaks recording for the next video to get a head start, along with getting some stuff planned out for the future videos. I'm really sorry that what I thought would be an early video has turned into a "regular to late" release video. It's been like a minefield trying to get this through without completely butchering it or taking shortcuts like just muting everything completely or distorting scenes, so I really appreciate everyone's patience with this. I fully expect the video to be out before May (it might come out at a weird time, or on the 1st since I want to make it public the second it's clear), but if it somehow doesn't everyone who was on the credits tier for April will still be in the video regardless since this should've been out days ago.

Thanks so much for all your help! Beware of movie licensed games.

It'll be up when it's up, don't beat yourself up so much when Youtube's arcane copyright rituals are already doing that enough to you already

Good luck! As a side option you could upload the video to another site like Vimeo and post it as a backers only type deal. Up to you.
