Stiorra really pissed me off in this one. I get that she is hurt and has lost her husband and home. But she had no right to talk to Uhtred that way. She has NO idea all that Uhtred has lost. Yes Brida did a lot of bad shit but the way she died was a little messed up. Also King Edward pissed me off. He acts like he’s scared of Lord shit face. (So he does not deserve a name lol). It was hard to watch Athelstan choice Uhtred over his father. Even though it was the right thing to do.

I love how complex this show is. We get to see the characters make bad decisions, make mistakes, we see their hesitations and fears, and I think because we get all of that not only do we get to see the reality of humanity and to see the reality of everything, but it makes all of those good moments even better. When people finally make a good choice, they stand up for what's right, and do what is right. It all just makes it that much better. I love that this show gives us imperfect people it really makes it feel so authentic and I think that's one of the reasons it's such a good show that sucks you in. Can't wait for your next reaction! So sad it's almost over!

That “I stand with Uhtred” scene was amazing!!! You see how he tried to manipulate Athelstan by calling him “son.” I’m like BIATCH whaaa? NOW you want to be “dad” so you can get what you want!? Nah, he’s Uhtred’s son you punk! Everyone in his life stood against him, and he doesn’t get it!! Stiorra too! Straight bitch mode🤬. It’s so ironic because Aelswith has become a favorite! She was so funny talking about her kill! Hahahha

Stiorra this season (so far, no spoilers..) was the worst

I used to be annoyed with stiorra but I fully get where she's coming from. Uhtred puts EVERYONES families and lives above his own. His loyalty is almost a sickness as honorable as he is. She has every reason to be pissed at how he let's this royal family treat him and yet he continues to be insanely loyal in response "hoping" it will get him favor down the line. We all get so irritated with Alfred's line doing him dirty and then we get mad at stiorra for being angry at her dad for it too?? Hell no. She's so right. He has literally spent his entire life and all he has still is rumcofa? A place that got destroyed a few episodes ago that his men don't want to even go back too it?

Also I still get weird vibes from Edward's wife even though I don't really have a reason too. Lol I've seen this show before and I always go back and forth wondering if she is being loyal and just there for her king and then think of her plotting some crazy ass overthrow. Haha it's so weird to watch even now. It's always like, is she being weird or supportive argument in my brain.

Edward is so unpredictable and emotional, yet he has power which is dangerous, because that power is in the wrong hands. It’s time like this when I miss Alfred.

Aethelhelm is such a turd! We all hate him but man, what a brilliant actor! He’s awesome.

I love this show so much. And it's because of you guys that I decided to continue after watching the first episode - with absolutely no regrets. One of my favorite shows. I don't want it to end with you guys either. Many emotions in this episode, but one of my favorites was Aelswith saying she stands with Uhtred, and to her son, the King. Wow! Who would have thought. An offering of alliance through marriage is not unheard of, but I do hate that Edward is doing it mostly because of his stubbornness. You're right, a good leader uses the brilliance of others to his/her advantage (with grace & humility, I might add).

Two more episodes 😩

Forgot say: You mentioned historical accuracy. It’s more like this novel I’m reading based in Scotland 1600s. Has a ton of Historical events and many authentic characters. But to not be a dry history book, it imagines what happened and adds some fictional characters to create a narrative. We don’t have CCTV of behind closed doors. So we have to create it! So whether or not our hero flirted with his brother’s wife, while he stole jewels, that’s just a little bit of fictional fun! 🤓 but looting from the rich during the war did happen…..🤓

Aethlehelm wants Edward to attack with his army because he wants to convince Constantine of the lie that Edward wants to take over Scotland. Edward is right to be cautious as much as much as it frustrates me, I understand his point of view 🤔 He was right when he said that Constantine only wants to protect his people and its better to negotiate with him to ensure peace and cut Athlehelm out of the equation. Edward is vilified if he acts rashly and also when he shows restraint. He's too emotional to be king and is not as ruthless or as calculating as his father.
