I love how you guys seem surprised that the vikings seem to be gentler than lords of wessex surprises me. It's a very consistent theme that we have already seen. Lol Remember uhtreds family?! The vikings that raised him. They are not all violent and rapists. Some of the best people in this series turns out to be vikings. And it will continue to be a theme in the next few seasons. Lol

This show is so awesome! I can’t wait for you guys to watch the other seasons. I felt for Sigfrid here having to kill his brother and then accepting there’s no living after tonight for him as his reputation would be questioned due to Eric’s actions. Odda always chose Wessex over everything as he loves his land over all else. He is the most loyal to the idea of an England more than Alfred. He sacrificed his son and then his own life to ensure forming England could still be more than a dream. He was just like a foot soldier laying down his life for the sake of his country. Alfred loves the idea of England but is too weak to make real sacrifices to achieve it. Shows that he is indeed selfish and loves himself more than the land. That’s why the beginning and end of this episode speaks about why a man sacrifices his life for his land and it comes down to loving the land selflessly. Brilliant!

Nikki is so right! Nothing seems shocking about Odda because it was so well setup! Felt EXACTLY what he’d do. Love how they never force stupidity on characters to make plot work. For Aethelflaed to kill Sigfrid, they didnt make Uhtred all of sudden struggle as as a fighter, the showed him injured. BRILLIANT WRITING! So fun watching Ewan Mitchell as Osferth, it’s like a whole other view now that he’s Aemond! Sweetie you can do it, you command dragons! Lol he’s a great actor. I Loved Erik😭and their love story. Beautiful! Perfectly crafted episode! One greatest crafted shows of all time

There's so so much more to come guys. It gets better and better. I'll be interested to know how you compare it to Vikings at the end. Honestly The Last Kingdom is only equaled to Game of Thrones. Nothing else comes close IMO

Love all your content. Last Kingdom is one of my favorite shows. Season 1 & 2 were produced by the BBC. Season 3-5 were produced by Netflix and you’ll notice bigger budget
