Wiz, Gumroad Update, Poll winner & Doujinshi!! (Patreon)

Alright we have a few things to talk about so let's get into it!

First of all, long time no Wiz! ^^ I actually attempted to draw her a few times. My ideas for her were mostly cute/wholesome but recently I wanted to draw a little more sexy/provocative stuff so there was quite a tug-of-war in my mind. I think it shows in this piece but honestly I'm just happy I finished another Wiz illustration. I promise I'll draw more wholesome illustrations of her ( ´ ω ` )

And lastly, doujinshi(it's a fan-manga/comic if you're not familiar with the term)

This was the reason that I paused/was inactive in February. So what happened was that I started drawing a doujinshi but I quickly realized that it was so much harder than I thought. I don't want to drama post but to cut it short, I didn't know what I was doing so I kept failing/not meeting my expectations/everything felt so off and wrong. Eventually I became so frustrated that I lost the motivation to draw completely. Feelsbadman.

The good news is it's one of those "It gets worse before it gets better" kind of things. So after a few days of just not doing art, my spirit slowly lifted and with a clearer mind I was able to approach it more calmly.

And that brings us to today! I've been practicing techniques for drawing manga and I'm really starting to get the hang of it. My main problem was that I was treating it like a regular illustration but it's actually story telling. I'll leave it at that because I don't want to get into the technical stuff right now, but I just feel so motivated recently because I can see my improvement in drawing manga, even if it's just small steps. Feelsgoodman ^^

That's the gist of it. Can you guess which character inspired me to draw a doujinshi? It's pretty obvious if you look at my recent obsession with a certain character. It's just I have a scenario brewing in my mind that just won't leave my head and I just absolutely have to draw it. And I feel the best way to get it out is in doujinshi form.

Alrighty I think that's everything! There's 121 days until July 26. That day marks the 2nd anniversary of Fire Emblem: Three Houses and self-imposed deadline for my Rhea doujinshi. Knowing me, I'll probably miss it, but dammit I'll release my Rhea doujinshi this year! Let's goo!!!
