Eating random plants is a bad idea at the best of times, although when the Forgotten Face was discovered it was made obvious that the risks were truly immense. Hosts would find themselves looking latex-faced for many years or the rest of their lives, and a means of removing the coating was not discovered for more than 20 years after the first hosts were taken. Even then it's out of most people's financial range to get it removed and so unless you want to end up in the poorhouse I'd advise staying the hell away.
