Omg, I've always wondered why Michael is dressed so weirdly when he brings froyo to Tahani and Chidi, and this is the first time that I realized that Michael is dressing like Janet, lol. Janet* is wearing the exact same outfit (except a skirt instead of trousers, obvi). The details in this show.... *Janet's costumes are based on retro flight attendant uniforms because Mike Schur flew alone a lot as a kid, and the flight attendants were so kind to him that he wanted to honor them with Janet. I also flew alone as a kid, and the flight attendants were so nice and sweet, and they would take me to the cockpit (this was pre-9/11) and bring me Shirley Temples, so I really appreciate the sweet homage, especially because our Janet is given agency and the ability to rebel because flight attendants, like most service people, put up with a lot of sh*t and they do it with a smile on their face. 👏🏻
