That was really sad. Sydney had a breakdown in the previous episode over Mokhtar getting killed, and now multiple CIA officers die? Sydney must have experienced death during her seven years with SD-6, but she probably rationalized it as dying for your country or making the world a better place -- whatever she thought before she knew the truth. Now she feels like every death is a failure on her part, or betrayal to the dead person, and a win for the bad guys. It's a burden I wouldn't want to carry. The show glamorizes espionage on the surface with the fun James Bond/Mission Impossible-style missions and the retro fast-paced serial storytelling, but so much of it is about how damaging deception is, even when it's necessary. Which is why the Dixon conflict is so good, because I can sympathize with both sides.
