This feels like a mid-season finale or even a season finale. I feel like it wasn’t just Kate feeling suicidal but Wesley too. And Angel in his own way. The final scene with Angel and Darla is sheer dark perfection. Who knew this Catholic school girl wannabe from Buffy season one would be such a powerful character here?!

I feel Darla could never really be herself when around the Master. His will and her loyalty to him for the gift he gave her (for the most part) overpowered her own.
