Welp, another experiment gone awry. Although to be honest, for my first shoot with a new VR camera, I kind of figured there might be some trial and error involved. However, I do think I learned something important from this one. Which is that even if you think you've accounted for all of the mishaps the camera might produce, you still have to be mindful of external factors. For example, this camera has a screen on one side of it that cannot be turned off, so anytime there might be reflections involved with glass, you have to put tape onto the camera. In this one, that strategy actually worked pretty well. But, I failed to consider how the type of tupperware she decided to use would block out most of the visual area. If I had taken some extra time to notice how the bottom have of the container was a weird matte texture, I could have suggested we use a different one, or I could have brought my own tested tupperware with me to avoid it altogether.
This one was inspired by a message/comment I received, that suggested we try one that involved going into and out of the refrigerator. Lauren thought it was a cool idea, and so here she keeps choosing other things instead of the viewer, and when she finally chooses you, she opens the container, thinks you smell gross/went bad, and tosses you into the garbage.
Fair warning about this clip, there's a lot of downtime because the tupperware blocks the view a lot of the time, but for folks who enjoy the aspect of being ignored, you might still get something out of it :)
Once again, I appreciate your patience while I get through this peak of application season. When I've found time, I've started adding sound fx to the next clip with Jennifer Rose, and I think I've finally found music that I don't completely hate, so that's good!
I am hoping to resume shooting some new full-length content in January. A few of the people I had planned on shooting with haven't responded lately, but the shoot with Syra Wolf seems to be in the cards for January. Additionally, Jennifer Rose should be moved into her new place by then, so I plan on reaching back out around then.
I appreciate y'all!
