Hi friends,

I'm thrilled to announce that we've reached the third goal, and for the first time, I can use the funds we raised to pay for the shoot beforehand, as opposed to fronting the money and hoping to make it back afterwards (which is super helpful right now, because all of my current student loans have run their course, and I am back to being broke). Anyways, I have been back in contact with Jennifer Rose again, and I was thinking about using these funds towards another shoot with her, since a lot of people seem to really like her (as do I haha). However, I've been wondering if I should wait a little bit, because my idea was to keep raising funds (like $6-800) in order to pay for a really big shoot with her, like multiple days and doing more potentially long-form, in depth ideas? Granted, it also depends on her availability (I know she wouldn't be able to do anything until June).

However, I wanted to let everyone know that since I have a really big draft due on May 8th, and since I can't really dedicate my time towards finishing the first Lauren Ashlyn clip I've been working on until after it is handed in, that it might be more beneficial to first work on the 360VR clips I did with her (since they are very short, and only require booms/shakes/sounds/cursory color correction). I feel really bad that I did not release anything last month, so I'd like to get you all some free content this month, while also not sacrificing my final papers, so it feels like a happy/realistic medium.

Congrats on the milestone! The idea of a longer form shoot sounds cool. What would the alternative be? 2 shorter videos? 3?

Awesome! The long shoot does sound interesting maybe try it out once to see if it works out for you? Also those vr clip screenshots look amazing! 😍

Thank you! Yeah, probably 2-3 shorter videos. Granted, even if I did multiple days, I could always do a bunch of shorter clips, rather than a few longer, more detailed ones.

Thank you! I wish the slow-motion feature on the VR one didn't degrade the quality, but I think it's sorta worth it...like I'd rather feel immersed than see perfect image quality I suppose (we'll see how long that holds true for haha). Yeah, I would like to have the freedom to plan out some longer videos! I know Jennifer mentioned wanting to do one outdoors, so multiple days would allow for me to not have to worry as much about the chance of bad weather taking up every day, you know?

Do you think the whole frame blending thing would help with smoothing out the slow motion vr?

Would be worth a try! My only worries would be: 1) file size; and 2) some regular effects don't work with VR, but require a "VR version," which is why I'm still trying to figure out the best way to produce a "shake" effect
