First Look: Lauren Ashlyn (Patreon)

Hi everyone,

Here are some rough raw files from my most recent shoot with Lauren Ashlyn. While Lauren has done some normie-vanilla type of cam shoots before, this was her first exploration into the world of fetish, and more importantly, her first quest into our tiny world of macrophilia. I tried a few new things in this shoot, some that I think succeeded, and others that I think failed. However, I learned a lot from this shoot in terms of what doesn't work, and how I can fix it moving forward (both equipment & approach wise). 

The first thing I wanted to try in this shoot was an experiment into making the POVs appear larger. I attached a few different macro lenses to my GoPro, the first (below) magnified the image so much, that while I appreciated feeling incredibly small, nothing outside of its immediate view was captured:

After this didn't work, I used a different macro lens for the views in this video, but did not apply it to any of the others:

I've been considering investing in a newer GoPro, that wild expensive lens I can't afford, or experimenting with other macro lenses for the POVs, since the GoPro footage can often appear grainy and over/underexposes the light (I cannot up the quality on my current one and retain a frame rate high enough to use it for adequate slow-mo). Additionally, I am going to try to immediately save up for a better viewfinder to attach, along with an attachable light, so that I can save on time, and optimize shots beyond the small viewfinder I currently have now.

Beyond that, what I learned from this shoot, is that when I am working with models who have never dabbled in the arena of fetishes before, I need to keep it simple for the first time (in terms of scenarios). Lauren had such great, ambitious ideas for plots, that I attempted to bring them all to light, and in the process, I wound up rushing a lot of the shoot in order to get them all done in time. Because of this, I know that I missed out on some vital, drama-building/plot-building shots. 

With all of the critiques out of the way, what I liked about this shoot was the ideas that Lauren brought to the table. They were really creative, and at the very least, should provide us all with some nice moments of fantasy. And while I certainly had to coach/teach a few things about the fetish, Lauren had a knack for the power dynamics, and understood her role intuitively as someone with unquestionable authority over the people.
