It’s that time of the year again! 12 heroines from the Catilus Pin-Up pantheon are coming together for the 2023 Catilus Fantasy Pin-Up Calendar!

Here’s the sketch of the calendar’s cover, featuring Theomachy heroines Nirayne, Orokiya, Raziya, and Orika as they explore a legendary temple of portals!

The four heroines explore the fabled Labyrinth of Portals, a legendary nexus upon which all dimensions are said to converge. Brave heroes can find portals to anywhere they wish, but horrors from across the cosmos can also creep into the world through forgotten gateways…

About the girls:

Nirayne “Rain” Waveborn, Half-Sea Elf Storm Sorceress (upper left)

Nirayne is a half-sea elf storm sorceress, her magic coming directly from the sea and the sky. The proud seafaring dwarves of clan Waveborn raised Nirayne as their own after finding her as a baby adrift in her crib at sea.

Nirayne grew up in Wavetown, one of the floating cities of the sea dwarves, exploring remote and exotic islands as Wavetown traveled the oceans.

When she was old enough, she boarded the legendary enchanted ship Darkstorm, joining the rowdy crew of the infamous dark elf pirate Captain Kenthor “Ruby Eyes” Webcrest. With Nirayne’s magic, Captain Kenthor unlocked the Darkstorm’s true potential as one of the fastest ships in the seas of Naam.

Nirayne’s magic also animates the tattoos on her body. The starfish on her ankle always points north, and the wave patterns on her arm and her thigh change to reflect the surrounding weather.

Princess Orokiya, Daughter of the Crescent, Moon Elf Celestial Sorceress (upper right)

Princess Orokiya is a true prodigy, having mastered both celestial and arcane magic from a young age. Considered to be the hope of the elven nation of Timinhur during an ambitious transition, her people and her betrothed, Prince Amontut VI, were shocked to hear news of her death by the royal diviners.

In fact, Princess Orokiya faked her death to escape the Selenean Idea, an ambitious scheme that changed Timinhur from a beautiful city into a sterile and oppressive regime and transformed most of its people from moon elves to spellforged constructs, able to survive on the barren moon of Naam.

Raziya, Half-Demon Fiend Warlock (lower left)

Raziya truly is a misunderstood individual. Her mother is a demon who loves to mingle with mortal nobles, while her grandmother (also Raziya’s otherworldly patron) is a demon who actively seeks to depose Seramis, the so-called god of beauty.

Raziya’s precarious position between the politics of mortals and the schemes of demons have put her in a lot of trouble with devout followers of the warring gods, as well as fanatical theomachists who would smite her just because of her infernal lineage.

When a resolute paladin finally caught up with her, she pleaded innocent and asked to join him in his idealistic quest to end the cosmic struggle between the warring gods, using him and his allies as a means of protection against those who would seek to harm her.

Orika Redshield, Deep Dwarf Paladin and Blacksmith (lower right)

Orika is a strong and determined craftswoman who joined the Order of the Scepter at a young age, swearing to protect the realms of the deep dwarves and strive to awaken Stalanos, the slumbering god of the Sunken World. The order believed that the return of Stalanos would usher in a new diamond age for their people.

However, when Rolim the Technurge, the demigod of crafting, was freed from his thousand-year imprisonment, he spoke of a terrible catastrophe that would follow the awakening of Stalanos. Few deep dwarves heeded the forgotten demigod’s warnings, but Orika, who respected Rolim’s ageless crafts, left behind her order and followed a blind geomancer in search of answers.

Now, Orika and a few other truth-seekers have formed a new paladin order bent on revealing the truth about Stalanos and averting catastrophe.
