Map of Peisaj - A map I drew on commission recently! Here are some highlights:

Saint's Landing - one of the smallest of the three cities of Lumen. Said to be the location the four saints first landed on Peisaj. The town is mostly run by the church, which has allowed a moderated market of a few goods to be traded. The main draw of this town though is academics, mainly theology.

Grainport - The capital of Lumen. Largest of the three cities. Has an astonishing market, in which almost everything made in Peisaj is traded to foreign nations in exchange for exotic goods.

Lake Ana - Named for one of the saints, this lake is a popular pilgrimage spot for the devout, though those less concerned with devoutness have used it for irrigation of farmland.

Imadegrau Monastery - The main source of power for the Church of Luminous Peisaj. Though called a monastery, it is more like a town, with its own places to garrison troops and weapons, should the need for defense arise.

Lake Angelika - Named for another of the saints, Lake Angelika acts as a water source for the monastery, as well as some food in the form of the fish cultivated there.

Lake Arsenie - Named for another of the saints, Lake Arsenie is mainly used as irrigation of farmland.

Lake Anastasia - Named for the fourth saint, Lake Anastasia is used as a water source not only for the city of Descension, but also for the industrial processing of ores and timber that come to the city. This has given the lake a muddier look than the others.

Descension (Aterizei) - The city was originally called Aterizei, but as the influence of the church continued to spread through Desverpa, the church renamed the city Descension, as the natural clearing in the forest was named "Goddess's Descent" because this is where it is believed the goddess came down to Peisaj to start leading the people. As the nation of Desverpa is not as devout as the nation of Lumen, citizens of Desverpa, and everyone non-affiliated with the church, calls the city either name.

Scultnaturi - This town acts as a nexus for the people of Zaparginpa, who either spend their time mining in the mountains for ores or gathering meat to sell or feed. As such, the town sees wild fluctuations in population based on the season.

Lake Ghetacurge - This lake is partially frozen year-round, with the change in seasons determining how large that portion is. In the coldest months, the lake freezes near completely.

Desert of Trials - This desert and the mountains next to it act as a natural defense for Lumen against the other two large nations of Peisaj. The desert is sparsely populated as people either cross the mountains to Lumen or live in the more hospitable forests of Desverpa, but this desert can help someone to disappear if they are running from someone or something.

Goddess's Shield - These mountains are named for the protection they provide Lumen from the other nations of Peisaj. Legend has it that these mountains were raised by the Goddess herself in some grand ancient battle.
