Poll Vote Winner: Vanju the Copper Dragon's Two Forms – Preview (Patreon)

In the latest “YOU Choose, I Draw!” poll you voted for “A mighty dragon of Theomachy in her mortal form and her true form!” so here is Vanju, the copper she-dragon in both forms who defies the gods of Naam across the ages!

Character: Vanju, Defiant Copper Dragon Adventurer

Born during the dark aeon of the First Dragonwars, Vanju was but a hatchling when she watched as her dragonfather, the legendary Dhivrimahim, and her elder brothers and sisters drove out the last faithful dragons and divine monstrosities from their lands and founded Tambashtra, the Copper Dragonrealm. Vanju was fortunate enough to grow up during a time of relative peace among the dragonrealms, which allowed her to travel far and wide across Naam, opposing the will of the warring gods while befriending mortals who defied them.

However, bravery is no substitute for experience and a young dragon can be susceptible to trickery. When mortals pleaded with Vanju to save them from a monster that lurked under their fledgling town, she rushed head-first into its lair. But this not was not a mere monster. Vanju came face-to-face with the entropian demigod Neutro, who wielded its aberrant magic to turn the young copper dragon into stone.

The copper dragons mourned the loss of Vanju who never returned to Tambashtra and ages passed. Under the sinister guidance of Neutro, the small town grew into a prosperous city that assumed the name of its dark patron deity, Neutro, and erected impregnable walls in hopes of shutting out the cosmic struggle of the gods, Theomachy.

Yet eventually Theomachy swept through the city of Neutro and defiant mortals had to rise up to fight the warring gods as well as the city’s dark demigod sovereign. As adventurers finally slew Neutro and the dust of the struggle settled, theomachic hero and legendary dark elf bard Lyrana Blackwing made a shocking discovery inside Neutro’s lair under the city: Among vast treasures, the dark demigod also kept a collection of petrified creatures for its twisted amusement. The petrified figure of a young dragon stood out. Uttering a restorative song, Lyrana released Vanju from Neutro’s petrifying curse and they became good friends ever since.

After countless years under Neutro’s curse, Vanju is now back, bringing an ancient perspective and the optimism of the First Dragonwars to the defiant dragons who still oppose the warring gods in this strange age.
