I don’t agree with the barbarian/ eldritch knight multi class. The fun of eldritch knight is having access to spells like shield and absorb elements to enhance your defenses. You can’t cast spells and rage.

When he was 13 and our first Thanksgiving without the ex, my son said to me, "if we're supposed to be thankful for our meal, it needs to be pizza". So our now 10 year old family tradition is pizza for Thanksgiving. Not surprisingly, we have a lot of friends who want to come spend the day with us.

For casters that prepare spells daily, I like to prep a couple of lists. Currently playing an artificer, and I've got a battle list and a support list, depending on the day I think we're heading to. I'll take a quick skim through the rest of my options after a long rest too, just in case

Soooo..... It's not widely celebrated, but there is a holiday/festival in spring that involves costumes! In my village it was the goose fair but it's essential the maypole festival and all the children dress up, and Morris dances are their... It's a fertility festival that got stomped on by the church. Areas with Celtic roots still usually have something like it though!

Caldwell I understand you. There's a video of a 6 year old me going insane over getting a math book for Christmas and immediately ignoring all of my toys I had gotten to do math and my family never let me live it down.

I co-sponsor a club at the high school I work at called the Unity Club, which is basically a club for our LGBTQ+ folk, and we had a holiday movie night during break and the kids voted to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas, which I hadn’t seen for like 15 years. Despite having some questions about the government of Halloween Town, it was a great re-watch.
