Hi Everyone,

If you've been following my CAGED Soloing series, you know whats going on. In this installment, we'll be working through how to solo over a I-IV progression using all five CAGED shapes. The idea here is to give you a few bite-sized ways to think about and practice soloing over chord progressions.

This is the second lesson in the I-IV series and we're focused on the A shape.

As always, thanks so much for being here and I hope you learn a lot while you're here.

I am still working through the Scales and Chords from MTM, but I kinda like to jump here and there, and this made so much sense. "Moving from feeling lucky !! resonated with me a lot " What are your thoughts on not going sequential ? Like I like to jump back and forth between several concepts.

There is no linear path you have to take. If this series helps reinforce the other concepts you’ve been working on, hang out for a while!

Agreed - your videos have made me find and understand those “sweet” notes that just work well with the chords. Would love to understand how to pick up by ear keys and chord progressions, if you have any advise or are able to add thoughts on that in future videos 😁
