So Glad you fellas are enjoying your dive into Anime✊🏾✊🏾 This was the first series I got my wife into🥰Keep up the good work brothas👏🏾🙏🏾

Rhast

Japan's green light is sometimes blue instead of green, and you'll often hear a little jingle play when the light turns blue for blind pedestrians Also, Death Note notebooks were really popular when this first aired. Kids in my school were expelled for bringing them

Nick Childers

Breaking bad was my favorite tv show ever too until I watched AOT but death note is one of my favorite anime’s tho as well you guys are in for a ride with these two anime’s

Bibi

"why am I rooting he is gonna figure something out" 😂 I don't like Light but I think he is an interesting protagonist! Even though I am against his actions I am also curious about them 😂

József Soltész

You can buy a Death Note on amazon... ;)

Rhast

Question: Light has now told two people that he's Kira right before they'll die. It feels like he tells them to see their reactions and faces, because there was no need to say anything to Naomi, she would have just left once the Death Note kicked in. What are your thoughts and opinions on this rather sadistic side of him?

Bibi

If they do decide to buy it, I recommend doing it AFTER finishing the show so they don't get spoiled on Amazon 😂

bubbaburto

Light is definitely a protagonist who is agonizing yet captivating to watch lol

Cheryl Lambert

Well that took a turn with you two sliding into the dark side at the end 👀😂. My question is, since Light has not resisted temptation since the moment he picked up the Death Note what do you think is holding him back from taking the deal to have Shinigami eyes and thus ultimate power to feed his God complex?

Jay

Keep up the great work boys :) Your reaction to this episode made me have a great laugh hahah

i think her desperation and impatience to find kira is what caused her to slip at the most critical moment. it always bothered me how carelessly she gave away her real ID after working with L on a case. she should've known better but her emotions got in the way.

Thanh Thao Phùng

I think there are 2 main reason why she is trapped: 1. Because she had to give up her job to marry her fiancé and he didn't really appreciate her opinion and turned her down before, then when Light complimented her, it made her emotion get in the way. She is Japanese, I guess at that time, many Japanese women give up on work after they married, but she also worked in America for a long time then she might have been conflicted about giving up work after marriage. Raye also said that they agreed not to talk about work because she is now his fiancé. not even understand her passion for this job and the fact that she is good with the job, too. And maybe not only Raye, also her family, friends and the societies around her might have said the same thing that a woman should only focus on the housework. If it was me (as an Asian woman), I could easily trust the person that encourages me to go after my work and compliment my work skill when I feel so doubtful about that myself, you want to trust that person because deep inside you want to trust what they just said about you. 2. Also, because of the death of her fiancé, she was lonely and needed someone to comfort her. She didn’t have a job or a family at that point and was in a vulnerable state. Then Light here, both suggested to be with her (investigate with her) and also recognized her ability. Finally, He said that she is still young and beautiful and implied that she could have moved on and married someone else, not to risk herself in this dangerous case (also come back to work). Make she wants to argue that she didn’t have anything to lose because by joining in this case she could take revenge on her loved one and also come back to her job (she could have both love and career in a way). Hope that makes sense haha.

Be careful on titling your own death notebook. Back when this anime first aired in America, some students had the same idea as you and did that, but some of them got caught by teachers who didn't know about the show and they called the police, leading to some students getting expelled or arrested on terrorism charges.

Dïmya

This is a very narrowed way to look at it... It's clear that as a female FBI agent she's faced with misogyny. Even by her own Fiance. It wasn't desperation and impatience but rather getting to find a purpose again after losing her fiancé who was literally making her change her lifestyle and job for his own good. It's clear she has a love for investigation and like she said, she has no purpose now. Light used that to his advantage in a manipulative way. She was not dumb, he's just extremely calculated and straight up scary.

i'm not faulting her for it. like i said i dont think it was lack of intelligence that got her in the end but hope. hope that she could be so close to finding kira all on her own, and all the relief that would give her. Light saw that and took advantage of that, like the psychopath he is. the only way she could've potentially seen something like that coming is if she were an emotionless robot like L is. she is only human, and there's nothing wrong with that. i'm just upset because i thought she was a really good character with a lot of potential. honestly i think the reason they killed her off so soon was because she was too smart and would've found kira right away.

OscarZero

You should rewatch episodes six and seven. You'll be impressed by Light's tone, reactions, courage, and strategic thinking – a perfect psychological tactic and guidance. He doesn't miss any tiny details, accurately predicts human emotions, and even leads the former FBI detective into a trap. What's even more frightening is that at this point, he's just a student.

Hippopi

It's funny that all the investigators react happily when L says "I didn't feel the need to set traps for any of you" because they take it as a sign of them being obviously good or trustworthy people, when in reality L basically insulted them because he doesn't think any of them are smart enough to be Kira.

noakey harding

love ur question (even if i'm not a big fan of the way you did it) that's a bit of oriented question, if you alredy state ur own interpretation "It feels like he tells them to see their reactions and faces" and tell them his behaviour is sadistic in ur question, there is less room to an uninfluenced opinion :) but it was a good question anyway

its_aliza

I really think Naomi didn't deserve to die like that.. She was a brilliant character. I've heard from DN fans that the creator himself said that Naomi was way too smart and would have easily caught Light and the anime would have ended too soon so he had to kill her off
