Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!
1) Returning Shot — Instead of reloading this crossbow, you can throw it as a bonus action to deal damage. After throwing, it immediately flies back to your hand with ammunition loaded.
2) Zenith Ring — A pure silver ring that shows an idealized reflection of any creature that looks at it. While attuned, your physical form changes to match your reflection and your lowest ability score increases by +2 (to a maximum of 20). The ring has charges that can be spent when you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw to add a bonus equal to your highest ability score modifier. When you roll a 1 on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you have disadvantage on your next roll.
3) Cubic Gelatinous Core — A gelatinous organ in the rough shape of a heart, attuning to it causes the heart to meld into your chest and your torso becomes transparent. You gain resistance to acid damage and a climb speed equal to your walking speed. In addition, you can cast a various spells such as arcane hand and web. However, you take on more traits of a gelatinous cube, damaging nonmagical metals, permanently damaging them.
4) Rakhans Guard — A wooden scabbard for clerics that can't be used to sheath normal weapons. While attuned to it, you always has the spiritual weapon spell prepared, and you can prolong the duration of the spell by sheathing it in the scabbard, allowing you to summon it again without expending another spell slot.
5) Phasing Lance — This chitinous leg of a phase spider, stretched into a deadly lance. It retains some of its ethereal properties, allowing you to partially phase into the Ethereal Plane to bypass the target's armor and dealing extra force damage.
6) Courier's Cap — When found, the cap has lost letters tucked inside, and a chance to discover a new lost letter each dawn. It also has charges to cast the haste, locate creature, and longstrider spells. It regains some charges each day, or all charges when you deliver one of its letters.
7) Rover — This flail has a stake handle with a long chain connected to a fanged beast skull. The skull can be animated and you gain a bonus to attack and damage made with it. It drags you towards the closest hostile creature, and it can latch onto a target, reducing its speed while you are dragged along, but you gain an additional bonus to attack and damage which does extra piercing damage.
