Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Planar Pathfinder Mask  — This plain but sturdy mask once belonged to a plane-hopping diplomat, a gem in its forehead reflecting images of different planes. You can use an action to cast the plane shift spell and the mask acts as a tuning fork. When on any plane other than the Material, the mask gives you different benefits, such as: resistance to certain damage, learning a language, or being able to cast a cantrip at will.

2)  Fūjin Reactor  — A mechanical cylinder holding the essence of a powerful wind spirit that whirs with the sound of many fans. This cylinder has different configurations that allow you to perform different actions, including: moving a number of feet when you cast a spell and pushing creatures away, create spears of wind and propel them at creatures within range, or summon a wind spirit for 1 minute.

3)  Ionic Flail  — This club can sprout electricity from its handle to become a flail that deals lightning damage and has the reach property. You can launch the electrified end of the flail at a target, forcing it to succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take lightning damage and become restrained by the bola-like electricity.

4)  Zenith Ring  — A pure silver ring that shows an idealized reflection of any creature that looks at it. While attuned, your physical form changes to match your reflection and your lowest ability score increases by +2 (to a maximum of 20). The ring has charges that can be spent when you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw to add a bonus equal to your highest ability score modifier. When you roll a 1 on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you have disadvantage on your next roll.

5)  Snake Eyes Sword  — The hilt of this greatsword features a cobra with its hood prominently displayed. When you make an attack and roll a 1 on both of the weapon's damage dice you can choose to cast the charm person spell and the target does not get advantage on the saving throw. When cast in this way, the spell can also target snakes in addition to humanoids.

6)  Adrenal Blades  — This pair of scimitars have a feathered design etched into their blades. If you become frightened, you roll a die and gain a benefit based on the result. On an even result, you prepare yourself for battle and the blades become more sinister looking, gaining advantage on attacks against the source of your fear. On an odd result, the swords turn into metallic wings, gaining a fly speed and opportunity attacks against you are made with disadvantage. Additionally, you can cast the haste spell on yourself.

7)  Halting Shot  — This arrow is enchanted with dark magic and runes etched along its shaft. As a bonus action you can invoke the contract within the arrow, taking necrotic damage. When you do, the arrow cannot miss your target and automatically scores a critical hit. On a hit, the target's speed becomes 0.
