Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You can submit your ideas on Discord, too! Come join us in the #patron-item-workshop channel!

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Navis Anima  — A sentient pedestal with a cloudy gemstone with a sunset hue. You can perform a ceremony to bind the pedestal to a vehicle. The anima can control the vehicle, move the vehicle slowly without a source of movement, and communicate telepathically with creatures in contact with the vehicle.

2)  Fūjin Reactor  — A mechanical cylinder holding the essence of a powerful wind spirit that whirs with the sound of many fans. This cylinder has different configurations that allow you to perform different actions, including: moving a number of feet when you cast a spell and pushing creatures away, create spears of wind and propel them at creatures within range, or summon a wind spirit for 1 minute.

3)  Scroll of the True Self  — A scroll to make your outer appearance match your inner one. You can use the scroll to cast the alter self spell using the Change Appearance option. When the spell ends the appearance becomes permanent.

4)  The Forgotten Music Box  — A cursed music box that can cause creatures who hear it to become frightened. If the box is damaged, the last creature who turned the crank is beset by a nightmare that prevents long rest.

5)  Orrbest's Offer  — An enchanted copper coin meant for thrifty shoppers. You can use the coin as part of payment and cast the suggestion spell on the target. When cast in this way, you attempt to convince the vendor they've given you a small discount.

6)  Scabbard of the Spellblade  — This magical leather scabbard that feels heavier than it should and has runes etched along its rim. It has charges that can be used to pull any +1 weapon of your choice from it. If you're a spellcaster, you can expend a spell slot to create a weapon instead with higher level spells giving larger bonuses to attack and damage rolls.

7)  Ramp-Up Ring  — This yellow ring is streaked with black swirls and gains 1 charge when you hit a creature with an attack the first time on a turn or when a creature misses you with an attack. Depending on the number of charges you gain benefits such as increased speed and a bonus to AC. The ring loses all charges at dawn.

Thanks to everyone who submitted item ideas and voted for them this week!

Keep on adventuring!

Combine the properties of the Navis Anima and the Fujin Reactor! So that it's a pseudo Spelljammer Helm but for nonspelljamming vessels.
