Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Ramp-Up Ring  — This yellow ring is streaked with black swirls and gains 1 charge when you hit a creature with an attack the first time on a turn or when a creature misses you with an attack. Depending on the number of charges you gain benefits such as increased speed and a bonus to AC. The ring loses all charges at dawn.

2)  Preservation Jar  — A jar for preserving body parts. Body parts in the jar are under the effect of the gentle repose spell, which can only hold parts from a single creature. You can perform an hour long ritual to cast true resurrection from the jar, targeting the creature who's body parts are in the jar. After casting in this way, the jar is destroyed.

3)  Jar of True Lightning Bugs  — A magically reinforced jar that holds a special lightning bug. It sheds light in a radius equal to the number of bugs in the jar and you can remove a bug to cast the call lightning spell. A creature that fails the save is also affected by the effects of the faire fire spell.

4)  Hedgewitch's Gardening Gloves  — A pair of gardening gloves covered in magical vines. You gain a bonus to Wisdom (Survival) and Intelligence (Nature) checks when interacting with plants, as well as grant yourself the effect of barkskin up to twice a day.

5)  Jewls's Tewls  — This tiny box filled with jeweler's tools grants a bonus to skill checks related to gems. It also has charges that can be expended to create a socket in an item than can accept various gems, granting that item a random property.

6)  Covolt Star  — This covolt spiked morningstar spark with electricity. It deals additional lightning damage on a hit. Once a day, you can also cause it to explode with electrical energy in a 20-foot radius, forcing creatures to succeed on a Dexterity saving throw, or take 6d6 lightning damage.

7)  Scuffle Scarf  — A long, patchwork scarf interwoven with enchanted thread. While wearing it, you have increased tolerance for low temperatures. You can also send the scarf to restrain a creature near you.
