Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Untamed Couturier's Clothes  — An unusual robe made by a tailor coming to terms with their lycanthropy, changing forms at dawn and dusk. At dawn, it is a beautiful silk robe that increases your speed and allows you to take the Disengage action as a bonus action after attacking. At dusk, it is a rough robe made of fur that increases your AC and allows you to take the Dash action to move toward a hostile creature.

2)  Baton of the Blood Waltz  — A wand of bone and ruby that grants a bonus to spell attack rolls and to the saving throw DCs of your warlock spells. As a bonus action, you can force a creature cursed by one of your warlock spells to succeed on a Strength save or use its reaction to move up to 30 feet in any direction of your choice. Undead, constructs, or plants are unaffected.

3)  Medium's Breath  — This bamboo flute has talismans adorned with symbols of life and death, and is tuned to excite or calm emotions. You can play the flute to assert control over undead with various effects. You can give an undead controlled by another creature their personality and mental scores back for a limited time or cause a phantom of a creatures past to hunt them, if one exists.

4)  Jump Scare  — A ring of obsidian with a dark ruby. When you hit a surprised creature with a melee attack, you can expend a charge to cause a chorus to sound, dealing psychic damage to the target and causing them to be frightened of you.

5)  Gentle Departure  — A cane topped with a raven's skull that can transform into a scythe. Attacks with it deal additional force damage and grant you temporary hit points. You can also use the cane to cast a stronger gentle repose on a corpse. You can also place a shroud of death on a creature you can see, letting you deal more damage to it and also know where they are, though the shroud harms you if the creature is still alive after a minute.

6)  Thrilling Armor  — A red leather jacket that gives immunity to poison. While wearing it you can summon a number of undead skeletons or zombies for 1 hour and can issue commands to them.

7)  Claw of the Green Hag  — A dagger made from the bone of a green hag  which resembles a long claw. You gain a bonus to attack and damage and can cast the disguise self spell at will. Creatures hit with the dagger take extra damage on a roll of 19 or 20 and killing a creature starts to turn you more and more hag-like in appearance and personality.

That baton is just perfect! Always felt that items increasing spell modifiers lack flavour!
