Elite Workshop Day 2 — What Astral Plane-related item should we make? (Patreon)

These are loose item ideas based on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these may have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Silver-Threaded Needle — A magical sewing needle that binds fabric together with invisible thread from the astral plane. While carrying the needle, if your silver thread from the astral projection spell is severed, you can destroy the needle to reconnect it. In addition, you can make extraordinarily durable clothes with the needle, repair fabric perfectly and quickly, and gain a small bonus when healing wounds with it when used with a medicine kit.

Nexus Mirror — A tall shield with a mirrored finish that swirls and glimmers, distorting the reflections cast from it as if through a strange fog. It has a number of charges which can be used to cast either the misty step or dimension door spell, and doubles as a tuning fork to another plane plane of existence. While holding it, you don't age, but if you use the shield as a tuning fork for the plane shift spell, you age 1d6 years.

Astral Caltrops — Magical caltrops that float almost invisibly when cast to the ground. When stepped on or moved through by a creature, they erupt into a small burst of extraplanar magic that deal psychic damage and cause the creature to float into the air, as if by the levitate spell. At the end of each of the creature's turns, it can make a saving throw to fall back to the ground and return to its normal gravity.
