Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Indigo Stray's Conviction — A set of chains related to the Red Queen's burden and Violet King's promise, allowing the attuned creature to take the brunt of hits and damaging effects instead of nearby allies, pile onto ally attacks, but at the cost of a curse. 

2) Ring of the Split Mind — This rose gold ring has charges you can use when casting a concentration spell, focusing it through the ring and allowing you to simultaneously maintain concentration on a second spell. However, doing so limits the types of spells you can cast afterwards, and breaking concentration on either spell stuns you. 

3) Book of Memories — A tome with smooth, glossy parchment that can capture images of the scene it is pointed at. Pages can added or removed as needed, as is usually found with plenty of this special parchment to spare.

4) Ring Mail of Three Wishes — The rings of this armor glisten with a slight prismatic sheen. Whenever you are hit with an attack you can use your reaction to wish that you weren't, causing it to miss instead. After 3 uses, it becomes mundane leather armor. 

5) Heaven's Edge — (Originally the Dagger of Demon Slaying) A legendary dagger covered in celestial runes that burns with a holy light. Fiends hit by it take radiant damage, and when you score a critical hit with it against a fiend, the target is banished as if affected by the banishment spell.

6) Wavebender's Surfboard — A tall, +1 shield that's covered in traditional Polynesian markings that can be stood on in the water as a surfboard, allowing it to ferry you across water with increased speed. 

7) Ballroom Breaker — An elegant ballroom mask that grants a bonus to Charisma (Persuasion) checks made between dawn and dusk, and can be used to magically create and wear a formal outfit during the same time.
