Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the 6 randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

Hey! These items all offer attuned and non-attuned options for players.

1) Ding Bat — A +1 club that can stun a target until the end of its next turn on a critical hit. When attuned, it can become a greatclub by using a bonus action, and also paralyzes a target on a critical hit. 

2) Rings of the True Companions — A set of 3 rings that resonate when near each other. When worn by different creatures, they can be used to prevent another wearer from dropping to 0 hit points, and when attuned, gain charges that can be used to heal other wearers with increased potency, depending on the number of unique attuners.

3) Ignus' Ire — A heavy, molten crossbow that fires fiery bolts of molten rock instead of crossbow bolts. If you're attuned to it, you can speak its command word to create a tracking beam of light and fire that follows a target, dealing increasing damage each turn, until it's out of range or behind total cover. When you do, your speed becomes 0.

4) Ghost Writer's Wand — A wand that allows you to become invisible once a day. A sorcerer can attune to it and convert up to 5 of its sorcery points in order to restore expended spell slots to a creature within 5 feet of it.

5) Friend and Foe — A pair of powerful light hammers named Friend and Foe that deal bonus damage and have charges which are used to charm or frighten targets struck by them, respectively. While attuned, their attack and damage bonuses increase, as does the DC for their effects, and you gain benefits to attacks against creatures charmed or frightened of you as a result of the hammers' properties.

6) Scorpio Armor — A set of natural plate armor created from the carapace of a giant scorpion. While wearing it, you have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks you make, instead of disadvantage, when you're in dim light or darkness. While attuned to it, you have advantage on saving throws against poison, and can briefly gain limited tremorsense.

7) Mystic Longbow — A bow with a silver string that generates its own magic arrows when you draw the bow. Targets hit with these arrows take extra force damage. If you're attuned to it and are a spellcaster, your ranged spells have increased range, and your ranged spell attacks have an increased bonus to hit when cast through the bow.
