Weapon (dart), uncommon

A target hit with this magic dart takes an extra 1d4 lightning damage from the attack.

Lightning Rod. When the dart hits a creature, the dart clings to it and magically attracts electricity. The creature has disadvantage on any saving throw it makes against an effect that deals lightning damage, and other creatures have advantage on attack rolls they make against the target if the attack deals lightning damage. This effect lasts for 1 minute; it ends early if the target or another creature within reach of it uses an action to remove the dart. Once the dart's removed from a target, this property ceases to function until the next dawn.

Beneath the gathering clouds, an iron golem spun in the forest clearing. It had been dispatched to cut through the forest, yet the brush always seemed to immediately return in its wake.

'Mission disrupted. Initiating contingen—'

—A dart flew from the trees, lodging into the back of the golem's neck. By the time it looked back to the trees, the forest seemed empty again.

Then the dart was joined by another, and then another, each drawn unerringly to its iron. One by one, tiny holes were punctured into its metal frame, discharging sparks across its surface. With each dart, the smell of ozone grew.

The golem buzzed a tinny message: 'Minor Interruption. Darts will cause no permanent damage.'

From the trees came a whisper: "...They were never meant to."

With a flash and crack of thunder, the sky was ripped asunder, and the storm broke atop the golem.
