So, a long time ago, there was this fella named Theseus. He had a boat. A ship, actually. Over time, the ship got very old and saw a lot of battles. Parts had to be replaced. A mast here, a sail there, a shit load of wood.

One day, somebody realized that every single part on this boat had been replaced, down to the last nail. It was still the same boat… But was it? It served the same practical function, but it no longer bore any of its original parts. Any philosophy majors out there? I'd love to hear opinions.

This little conundrum is known as the Ship of Theseus — One of those head scratchers that doesn't have a right or wrong answer.

My 2011 MacBook was named Theseus. Through necessity, I either replaced, or had replaced, nearly every component to that thing. Then, that motherboard died. If anyone of you out there is computer savvy, you'll know that's the last nail in the coffin. Theseus sunk.

So the early part of this month has seen me holding clients at bay, trying to do as much work as possible from a fucking iPhone, and generally running around like a chicken without it's head.

But! Thanks to you fine people, I have a new computer. Well, not new. It's used, but it's relatively new-ish, has been lovingly restored, and has pulled me out of the dark ages. I really appreciate it.

And on that note, I have a lot to make up for, don't I? Don't worry. December is still young, and I have some fun surprises in the pipe.

XOXO
