We're launching back into the Lovecraft universe via the T.E.D. Klein mythos novella Black Man with a Horn!

Special thanks to reader Erik Peabody of Viking Guitar Productions. You can hear Erik tear into a FULL READING of T.E.D. Klein's amazing story The Events at Poroth Farm on the Horror Hill podcast! Listen on YouTube here!

And here's that Voluminous episode covering HPL's Florida travel-planning.

The Screaming Moist

Since we’re talking Klein, I can’t recommend “Petey” enough. That story is a MasterClass in pacing and character studies in a tidy little package.

For me that is one of his lesser stories...but still darn good, that's how good T.E.D. Klein is!

Kind of gave a condescending "aren't you cute, you little whippersnappers" chuckle at Chris's musings about having entered his 50s (I condescend from the much riper age of 53) but then I had a truly lovely thought: as a cohort of Strange Students we have been together for so many years (I was still looking somewhat ahead to my 40s when I made your aggregate aural acquaintances*) already and we're all hoping this goes on for many more... what I'm trying to say is, I'm enjoying growing old with you all, even if the best was left behind when we didn't pick up that hitchhiker that one scary night back in the 'Oughts. *Pardon that, I've been binging on Adrian Belew era King Crimson all week, something I feel I probably have in common with the Strange Studies crowd more than with others, surely?
