Long term usage of Statins can result in : 1- Memory loss or cognitive decline (Risk - Low/Uncommon 2- Risk of diabetes (Base sugar level in the body will be higher than normal increased exercise, and diet are only mitigating factors without adjustment you will become diabetic) 3-Liver Damage (Risk - Very low/Very Uncommon) 4-Cancer (Here is where it gets tricky they don’t provide risk levels for this because cancer itself is defined and why cigarettes say ‘may cause cancer’ which I’m pretty sure we all know what that means and what we could assume for statins here) And all of these make the label for every bottle so this isn’t mis information and with Andrew concerned for his memory already this being listed first should be a red flag and to cap it off - AstraZeneca’s Crestor settled with the state of Texas for 110 million for advertising and marketing scams and product liability causing serious side effects and settled in a sealed agreement with the state of Connecticut & is still on the market -Bayer’s Baycol 40 million for paying illegal kickbacks to doctors, false advertising & liability of side effects including covering up a link to rhabdomyolysis and has been withdrawn from the market for safety reasons -Mercks Zocor was part of $670 million a payout where they didn’t have to admit wrongdoing or liability for potential side effects and is still on the market -Pfizer’s Lipitor has had its hands full in recent years and had to deny liability several times for the number one selling drug of all time and a California court has thrown out over 1,000 cases alone

Anyone else agree with Dov about the wine.

I don't understand the self censorship on a paid episode. Who is flagging and unlisted youtube vid?

Joseph Stiglitz is an economist with several #1 books pertaining to capitalism politics and social inequality. He’s very good at explaining economics in a digestible way. The price of inequality is one of his #1 books you should check him out and try to get him on the pod

Past life regression therapy is incredible. I love Alex even more now for doing it.

I don’t know how deep it is because I’ve never experienced it, but I know, especially in Ireland there was time where a huge Catholic versus protestant battle went on for years, I’m pretty sure Catholics clashed against protestants a lot throughout history, violently. I’ve never experienced any shit like that, but historically, I remember from history class there’s a few times, where the races were the same and the culture was the same because the country looked and acted similar. Catholicism versus Protestantism is what people would use the other each other and form their tribes.

“ if you’re judging extermination, by how long we’ve been here not how many people we get to” The native americans lost 90% (10s of millions)of their entire population within two years due to disease. Having a massive population doesn’t mean shit. Dinosaurs were on every single continent had a massive population, were mainly Apex predators. Besides fossils, we’d have no idea dinosaurs roamed every inch of the earth, one of the biggest species(air land sea) and they barely got a trace of the left besides what we put in toyota corolla. As an entire species/race they now completely extinct. One of the largest species, populations, height/size-wise, had few predators (even the herbivores) and now you go to a museum to see their jersey in the rafter. the only way to judge the success is by how long we’ve been here we could hit 30 bil by 2050 and a disease comes through and takes 99% of the population, numbers dont prevent extermination it makes it more likely to spread disease or war.
