Dear brother Akaash, We, The Flagrant Community, have become aware of your insufferable sleep pattern recently. Therefore, as one of the members of this community, I would like to share some tips and tricks to help you get a more blissful sleep. Firstly, have you ever wondered how you know how you slept if you didn’t record yourself sleeping? I don’t mean be a pervert and put up a video. I mean use ‘Sleep Cycle,’ an app that has revolutionized the way I sleep. This app will tell you how long you were in bed for and how long you were asleep for. You see, brother Akaash, there is a difference. Secondly, do not eat anything solid two hours before bed. If you can do six hours, even better. Anytime you have that food built up from eating too late, and you try to sleep while your body is trying to digest that food while you’re lying down, it feels like Fleece Johnson laying down pipe deep in your stomach, which isn’t a good feeling. Thirdly, go for a 45 minute to 1-hour walk. Why? Because you have to burn off that extra meat 🍖 Fleece Johnson stuffed inside of you if you keep eating two hours before bed and it helps get rid of a lot of built-up gas, which, from experience, has made me sleep with comfort. You gotta try it. Lastly, limit sugar. For me, sugar is a serious killer. Just ask the kids that chase the ice cream trucks in Arizona 🍦🥵Sugar is legal cocaine. Be safe out here, keep your buns tight and hard, and the same must go for your Johnson. I promise I’m not Fleece Johnson. Make sure you tune your wives out a little more for better sleep and a better life 🥸

This guy right here just popped off and as someone who has suffered from lack of sleep, all of those things work wonders

I hope it was the sleep issues but Akaash’s take on “paki” was some Candace Owens type shit. Shit was embarrassing

Akaash…hot yoga..do that shit

Akaash…hot yoga in the evening, drink a glass of water with magnesium powder close to when you want to fall asleep…keep your phone out of your bedroom

Love you guys! Psychologist: no phone, tv, no light, couple hours before bed. Just drink coffee in the morning, not in the afternoon or evening. No eating in the evening. Big work out. And my personal favorite: Smoke weed and then wack off.

Can we stop with the group therapy? Theorizing about the psychological aspects of strippers for 20 minutes without jokes isn’t why we’re listening

ZMA for sleep or at least just zinc. Also, workout hard. Physically exert yourself so that you needs sleep. Go hard in the paint then enjoy the rest.

As someone who’s struggled with insomnia for close to three years & has finally managed to get it (mostly) under control, here’s everything that’s helped me. 1. No alcohol / weed. Even though weed might help you ‘sleep’ more, it’s actually just sedating you & so the quality of your sleep won’t actually be that great. As such, you won’t wake up feeling rested, especially as weed inhibits REM sleep. 2. Go to bed at the same time every night & get up at the same time. Even on the nights where you basically get no sleep, force yourself up at the same time to get the routine going, & eventually (over time) when it gets to a certain time every night, your body will naturally start getting tired. Also, get sunlight in your eyes first thing in the morning like Huberman says to get the circadian rhythms going! 3. Exercise daily. I alternate between weights & cardio, & ideally I try to exercise during the day & not the evening as excercise gets the adrenaline pumping making it harder for you to sleep if you do it too late at night. Also sauna as often if you can as that’s great for relieving stress & make sure you’re eating a healthy diet. These are all pretty self explanatory, but if you can’t exercise during the day then aim to get at least ~10,000 steps just to tire you out a bit. Also, try to not have any caffeine after midday, have your final meal a few hours before bed, & try to not drink any liquids for 2/3 hours before bed; I also pee a lot & this helps me to wake up less in the night. 4. Make your room / bed as conducive to sleep as possible. I’m talking get an amazing mattress (or mattress topper) comfortable pillows, silk pillow cases / sheets, silk sleep mask, blackout blinds, white noise machine and/or earplugs, scented lavender sleep spray for your pillow. 5. Make a proper sleep routine before bed that you stick to as best as you can every night. Obviously this might be harder when travelling / working etc., but try to stick to it as best as possible. For me, what works well is no phone / screens for an hour before bed, & I also dim all the lights in my apartment for a few hours before I go to bed. I also have a warm shower every evening & I find that reading an enjoyable book (like some fiction) on my Kindle with the brightness super low also helps to make me feel sleepy & sends me off to bed pretty nicely. 6. Magnesium Glycinate (~250mg), L-Theanine (400mg) & Apigenin (~200mg) every night an hour before bed. These are what Huberman recommends & they’ve definitely helped me, although you might want to play around a bit with the dosages & find what works best for you.
7. If you wake up in the middle of the night & can’t get back to sleep, get up, go to another room, & do something like reading / writing with the lights dimmed until you’re tired enough to go back to bed. You want to form an association between your bed & sleep, so lying in bed restless & not being able to sleep isn’t going to help with building that association, & whatever you do, don’t check your phone or turn on the TV, as then you’re almost never going to get back to sleep. That’s everything that I can recommend after trying everything I can to improve my sleep quality after close to three years of insomnia. Don’t expect all this to work overnight obviously, it’s going to take time, commitment & persistence to see results & an improvement in the quality & quantity of your sleep, but the results are so worth it. From one insomniac to another, I wish you all the best Akaash & really hope you find this advice helpful 🙏

Jesse Hernandez

You know what? I respect you for sticking up for what you believe in. Have a nice bro and remember they are just jokes.
