Hey Andrew turn your phone sideways let me teach you about leverage during regular season id agree but right now there's a pandemic as well as social injustice. Most the owners own stocks and other companies real estate developments etc. they don't need the season there trying to re coupe in the bubble because they have to honour the contracts anyway but usually the bulk of there earnings in respect to the team come from ticket sales and concessions especially when you get into all the tax breaks they receive for stadiums/renovations/operation it's a windfall and now that all games are in Miami there out all that, all that's left is licensing i think the NBA takes the ad revenue for the already paid for air space (the Milwaukee game, turned into a news frenzy) it says BLM down the court the last thing owners need is bad publicity it's all publicity most players say that's the reason there playing to use the platform to shine a light on social injustice so if they stop playing because a third innocent black man's been shot by police since George floyd with no legitimate legislative action. They have the most leverage they'll ever have and you don't boycott you "Scottie Pippen" stress leave, anxiety it's called a bubble for a reason got damn pivot motherfucker your a basketball player. -As an owner "I'm picking up the phone calling the governor the senator all that shit I contributed last year and they gon want money this year I'm calling the police chief personally all I need is an arrest the court of laws outta my hands the phone calls free and there's plenty space in my luxury box. Retaliating against my players for takin a stand could cost me millions to prove what??? I'm not on there side. Hey during regular season I'm damn near selling out the arena goin into the playoffs thats different but now... fuck it don't play its probably costing me more money." -In conclusion you can't boycott without reasonable specific demands for example; arrest this officer for this crime on tape, turn arenas into polling booths, let's us blackout 3 more games at random and use the news coverage for cause, stop hiring city police for stadium security and use a private firm; reasonable doable right? Let one of these owners kids get pulled over DUI with blow in the car and some tranny hooker bet they make a phone call.
