Yuta gently put Akiha to bed.

While having a girl sleep on his shoulder sounded cool and all, the fact she hadn't woken up after a few minutes meant she was genuinely sleeping. He didn't want her to have any neck problems, so sadly his shoulder had to be replaced with a bed and a pillow.

"Hah... What now?" If Yuta was being honest with himself, he wanted to lay down and sleep right next to her.

He was pretty mentally tired after finding out SHIKI was running around and terrorizing people, not to mention the other things he had learned of course. Sadly, he figured just falling asleep right now was a bad idea. His friends were probably super worried about him, so he needed to let them know he was okay...

He made his way out of the room.

Walking through the mansion while alone actually creeped him out quite a bit for some reason. Maybe it was because he knew all the tragedies that had happened here.

And then eventually someone stepped in front of him. A man with a bandaged face.

"And who are you supposed to be?" His tone sounded aggressive, and he was glaring at the boy. His body too was tense, as if he was expecting to jump into a fight at any minute now.

Yuta gave him an awkwardly smile. "Um... Yuta Okkotsu. I'm Yuta Okkotsu." He tilted his head. "Maybe you heard of me before?" Yuta had certainly heard about this man at least.

Goto Saiki. The bandaged man who... just kinda wandered around the Tohno manor, apparently. He most likely lived here, since both Akiha and Arach had mentioned him before.

Most worryingly however, was the fact that Arach considered getting caught by him during the stealth mission as a bad end.

He clicked his tongue. "Not really." For real? "Were you the guy screaming in the gates a few moments ago?"

Yuta nodded. "Yeah, that was me."

This was kind of suspicious in his mind. Why didn't Goto know his name? Surely either Akiha or Shiki would have mentioned it... Yuta even slept in the mansion that one time.

Well, maybe it was arrogant of Yuta to think this way, but he felt like the fact Akiha or Shiki hadn't mentioned him to confirm that neither trusted Goto, or talked with him much. Alternatively, they had mentioned him, but Goto forgot.

The boy chuckled, trying to alleviate the mood. "That was pretty embarrassing, right? I really needed to talk with Shiki though." And what a talk it had been.

Slowly the tension left Goto's body. "Oh, you're one of Shiki's friends? A classmate I'm guessing?" Yuta gave him a thumbs up. "I see. Sorry for scaring you then, young man." He knew he had intimidated Yuta?

He looked away. "I know my appearance is quite... strange." He shrugged. "Sadly I cannot change it. Trust me, I would." He then sent a smile towards Yuta, clearly trying to disarm him.

It didn't really work. Even if Yuta tried faking that it did. "Nah, you didn't scare me or anything, don't worry." Had Yuta been judging him because of his appearance?

Of course not!

He regularly put his penis inside of Rika! Some guy who was covered in bandages was definitely not enough to scare Yuta, and if it was a girl he would even flirt with her!

Which meant there was something more happening here. Perhaps his instincts were warning him about this man? Or maybe it really was just Arach's advice ringing on his ears.

Goto grinned. "I see... So where is Shiki? I'm surprised he isn't with you at the moment." Yuta noticed something strange.

Everytime Goto said Shiki's name, his body would tremble. Was it a grudge against him? Or maybe fear?

Yuta didn't know, but he certainly didn't like it. "He's back in his room." For some reason he didn't feel like telling this man that Shiki was also asleep. Yeah, for some reason... Yuta knew exactly why he didn't tell him.

He didn't trust this man.

Goto raised an eyebrow. "And why aren't you back in the room with him?" The implication was obvious. He was asking if Yuta was snooping around.

A sigh escaped Yuta's mouth. "Because I'm going home." He was getting a bit tired of this conversation. His friends were probably still waiting and planning on how to punish him after all.

But Goto didn't stop with his questioning. "And nobody decided to guide you to the gate?" It was surprising easy to get lose in the Tohno estate.

The path from the mansion's door to its gate was actually a bit confusing. There were splitting paths, and if you took the wrong one you could end up in different buildings. Such as the second abandoned mansion meant for employees.

Employees which had all been fired by Akiha of course.

Yuta pouted. "Yeah man, I have come here before. I even slept here once, back when the twin maids still worked here." Yuta decided to not mention he was the reason why the maids didn't work here anymore.

Goto seemed surprised. "Really? I didn't think Akiha Tohno would allow something like... a sleepover." Yuta disagreed with that.

Akiha may look like someone who was completely serious, but that was only her first layer. In the end Akiha was just a normal girl who wanted to have fun. It's just that she also didn't want to lose to her blood.

Yuta scratched his cheek. "Yeah. I'm surprised you didn't know... Don't you live here?" He was lead to believe that with the way people talked about him.

Goto shook his head. "Not really... I do spend a few days here occasionally though. I am a business partner of Akiha, and we have been having quite a few important discussions recently."

He continued. "Still, you know about me?"

"Yeah, I know you. You're Goto Saiki, right?" That gained him a nod from the bandaged man.

Yuta put a hand to his chin. "So... are the Saikis a branch of the Tohnos?" Yuta knew super old and rich families had stuff like that. So it would made sense why Goto was here to discuss business.

The bandaged man grit his teeth. "No, my family isn't a branch. We are equals to the Tohno... or we were equals, a few years ago."

There was definitely some history there... Though Yuta doubted he would get details about it from this man. He probably didn't even know Yuta knew about the supernatural, and also about mixed bloods.

A sigh escaped his mouth. "But that isn't something an outsider should... would care to listen about. My bad." A smile appeared on his face. "As an apology, let me guide you out of the Tohno Manor."

Fair enough. "Sounds good." Yuta didn't want to spend even more time with him, but he realistically had no reason to reject his offer.

They walked out of the mansion in silence. For Yuta it was like the mansion had become even creepier. Before he was alone, now he was with an enemy.

At least until she showed up. "Yuta...!" A spider walked into the scene.

Goto flinched. "Arach?" Like most people who weren't insane, he was put off by her.

Yuta however, waved at her with a smile. "Yo!" He still didn't know how to truly feel about her, but he supposed she had helped him uncover the secrets of the Tohno.

In the end he couldn't help, but treat her as an ally, even if she was very clearly not normal. Yuta supposed he had plenty of friends who were weirdos anyways. Not to mention that he wasn't exactly normal either.

She started poking at his sides. "So... did ya do it? Ya did it, didn't you!?" She was obviously very excited about this.

But Yuta didn't really want to tell her anything without Akiha's permission, if he was being hones with himself.

Goto send a suspicious glare at both Yuta and Arach. "Did what?" He immediately discarded the believed this boy was just a normal friend of Shiki's. No normal boy would attract Arach's attention.

Arach glared right back at him. "Something that is none of your business." Her tone was enough to make Yuta gasp.

He had never seen Arach shift from her usual self to... this. And she had also done so very fast. Her eyes now reminded Yuta of something... someone... but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Got clicked his tongue. "Fine." He knew better than picking a fight with this monster. He couldn't die just yet, and he definitely wouldn't throw his life away to get some information about some nameless boy.

Arach's eyes slowly returned to their normal self. "Okay then, bye bye! Go away!" She started waving him off, shooing him away. She certainly didn't care about being polite, that was for sure.

And to Yuta's surprise, Goto actually turned around and walked away.

Wasn't this a bit insane? Arach, a "normal" architect who was also a doctor had the authority to be so rude with a business partner of Akiha? And also the authority to give him orders?

Well, whatever. "Why did you scare him away?"

She pouted. "He's a bad influence, always trying to get his claws on my gal. I want to be the only bad influence on her life damn it!" She must have been either talking about Akiha, or about Kohaku.

And then she went back to poking Yuta. "Forget that though! Tell. Me. Everything." Hah... just thinking about doing that was giving me a headache.

He looked away. "Can't I do that tomorrow?" Or never. "I'm really tired." At least he didn't feel as threatened as when he was by Goto's side. Even if he probably should.

She scoffed. "C'mon, what kind of harem dreamer ever gets tired!?" That was... a surprisingly good point. "I'll have you know it takes at least five rounds before I'm satisfied." Scary.

But also sort of hot. "And I'll have you know quality beats quantity. One round with me counts as five. Maybe even more." That was probably not true, but Yuta certainly loved to brag when given an opportunity.

She squints. "And so, the scummy harem enjoyer talks about quality beating quantity." Ah, he could see where she was coming from.

But she was wrong of course. "I am aiming for quality though." Which was why Sacchin was not on the list! Sorry, not sorry! "Unless you're gonna say you're of low quality?" She wasn't. Even if she was... eccentric.

There was certainly no denying Arach was hot. Yuta would even go as far as saying she was super hot. And that was probably done in purpose by her, considering the type of clothing she wore all the time.

Arach clicked her tongue. "Yeah, I'm certainly top tier..." She nodded to herself. "Which is why you should get some affection points by sharing what you found in ol' Makihisa's diary!"

Yuta simply crossed his arms in response, and stayed silent.

He knew if he said he wasn't telling, she would just rebuke it with some half-joke, half-serious statement. Kohaku had probably gotten her attitude from this woman, that was for damn sure.

Naturally the doctor threw herself at him. "Ah! Just tell me already!" There were tears in the corner of her eyes, but it was easy to ignore them. Arach was always super dramatic, so Yuta didn't feel too bad.

This went on for a few minutes, but Yuta's will stayed strong.

Or more accurately, he was too mentally tired to be affected by it... Ugh, and when he got home he would also need to explain about that giant spider he fought. Why couldn't things ever be simple!?

Finally, after much insistence, Arach gave up. "Fine... you can tell me another day. Just remember that I was the one who told you about the diary in the first place."

He nodded. "I won't be forgetting that anytime soon, don't worry." He certainly owed her one. He might not repay her in the way she thought however.

She huffed. "Right. So, about the cute little matriarch? Is she okay and stuff? Did she go full demon mode once you confronted her?" In that case Arach would need to calm her down.

She doubted Akiha had truly lost herself of course. If she had then the entirety of Souya would have been destroyed already. Nonetheless, even showing signs of it was already bad.

Yuta tilted his head. "You know I confronted her?"

Arach smiled. "Of course! That's why you were screaming at the gate like a crackhead, right!?" She had such a way with words... "And you definitely talked with Shiki too, even if he is the boring one of the duo."

That made sense. "Right. I'm also surprised you're coming straight out of the gate talking about... demon modes or whatever." She had tried to hide what happened to mixed bloods before, calling it a simple mental illness.

She started playing with her hair. "There is no way Makihisa didn't talk about it in his diary, so at this point you know. Besides, I just wanted to bait you into breaking it here with that whole mental illness talk." He figured.

She continued. "So is Akiha okay? Is she crying? Is she raging? Is she now carrying your baby and resting?"

He send her a thumbs and winked. "She is now carrying my baby and resting!" She wasn't. Yet.

Arach smiled. "Okay, got it Lord Tohno. It's great to have you in the family! I can't wait to do twisted surgeries on your creepy little demon children!" Scary! Though Yuta supposed that was just the price to pay for a mixed blood to retain their sanity.

Without another world, Yuta turned around and started walking. He had a home to make his way back to!

Arach weakly raised a hand. "Wait. Wait. Wait! Jokes aside, I really do need to know how Akiha is feeling right now? Should I cook up some tea for her or something!?" This was serious! Sort of!

Yuta copied his previous movements of winking and giving a thumbs up. "She is now carrying my baby and resting." He wished.

Actually, he was still in high school, so he certainly didn't!

Arach squinted her eyes at him. "For real?" His tone was so serious that she couldn't tell.

"For real." He would one day apologize to Akiha for this. "Why do you think she isn't here saying goodbye? It's because she doesn't have the strength to do that. Right now she's sleeping with a tired expression in her face."

Arach clearly started considering whether Yuta was telling the truth or not... And she decided she had to see it for herself. With quickness in her step, she ran to Akiha's room.

Yuta snorted. "That's how you get rid of a nutjob." Now he could finally go home.

Why did he want to go home so badly again?

Right, because he was super tired and he needed to rest. Still, why was the universe so mad at him? Why is it that Aoko Aozaki was waiting on the front door of Ciel's apartment while looking livid?

Oh yeah, because he had run off without any explanation and then refused to take any calls. Yuta could only hope she wasn't about to pull the break up card against him. He would definitely cry!

To his surprise however, she hugged him. "Dumbass, you're supposed to take a call when I call you!" Ah. She was definitely mad, just not in the standard way.

"My bad. I was just kind of... lost for a while." She ended the hug, though her scowl didn't disappear. "So I'm guessing everyone knows about the operation at this point?" There's no way Aoko didn't force it out of Rika, Ciel and Arcueid.

Aoko looked away. "Kind of. They didn't want to talk no matter what I did, but then Kohaku started crying, and Arcueid snitched." That sounded about right. Kohaku and Hisui were her... daughters.

Wait, Kohaku cried!? "Is she okay!?" Why was she crying in the first place!?

Assuming everyone had read... or skimmed the diary, she must have been crying because of that. And his reaction of immediately running away probably didn't help either. Shit.

Aoko sighed. "She's more or less fine now. Hisui helped her calm down." Thank goodness. "And she probably will feel much better once you show your ugly... handsome mug."

Yuta looked. "Okay, got it." He would have a talk with her before he went to sleep. Welp, he had to apologize to everyone anyways.

Aoko put a hand on her hips. "Before that though... where did you go? The Tohno Mansion?" He nodded. "And did everything go well?" She was probably worried about Shiki.

She was his teacher too after all. In fact Yuta was surprised she didn't rush there to go pick a fight with Akiha. He supposed Ciel's apartment must have really become a mess to hold her back.

Yuta smiled. "Everything went surprisingly well. Those things in the diary... they died with its owner." And that gained him a smile from Aoko in return.

Aoko understood his mentality. Her grandfather had been a pretty horrible old man, but she didn't think his sins passed onto her. So if Yuta said things had gone well, she believed him.

"I did fight a giant vampire spider with the help of your sister on the way there though. It was super scary." He wasn't leaving without Rika for at least a month from now on!

Her eye twitched. "Oi brat, you were supposed to start the conversation with that!" And now she had to thank her sister too. How embarrassing!

Yuta smiled. "Are you sure you should be calling your boyfriend a brat? Well, admitting to the age difference is certainly brave."

He got kicked.
