Behind-the-scenes explanation of how I wrote the song "Say No"! This was an interesting process because I the only things I knew about it where:

A) I wanted to write a song about either being captured or being set freee

B) Sapphire wanted to do a song like the Cutie Honey opening

So I kind of just deconstructed the Cutie Honey opening and hit it with a hammer fifty times. You can hear some of the melodies and lyrics we didn't end up using though!

This is so cool. This is how I used to write songs. I stopped because my sister convinced me that I sounded like a psychopath and 'a freak.' I'm starting to think that she doesn't know what she was talknig about.

I appreciate how you cut between the gradually-evolving acapella and the final song to make comparisons easier. ...also I wonder how often you almost broke into laughter because if I were to go that hard scatting into a microphone while alone in my room, I'd probably send myself into laughing fits at how ridiculous I felt.
