Hey patrons! As always, thank you so much for your support.

Last week I realized that the $10 tier's benefit is the ability to vote in polls for the next So This is Basically video... but now that the final video in the series, So This is Basically Genshin Impact is finished, that's not an applicable reward anymore!

I've also been meaning to phase out the $20 tier and vocal rewards for awhile now. I'm so busy that any extra voice work is a significant commitment and since I'm still in the middle of a move from Dallas to LA I haven't had a professional-tier sound setup for months... and I probably still won't until July.

So!

I think it's high time I did some sort of Patreon restructure.

I'm content with the $1 tier (sneak peaks/WIPs) and the $5 tier (outtakes/extras), but I think I need a single, upper tier that provides something else. My gut feeling is that I should consolidate the $10 and $20 tiers into a beefier $10 tier that gives access to high-effort cut content. If outtakes are easy to put together (i.e. audio outtakes) then I can keep it in the $5 tier. If the content is significant and takes effort to put together (i.e. the Price is Right extras, the extra Miles is a Robot clips, etc.), then it goes into the $10 tier.

I'd like to hear what you guys have to say,! Let me know what you want from this Patreon and I will do my best to accommodate. I'll note that I am extremely busy and can't add too much to my schedule, but I'll see what I can do! Please leave a comment below  if you have any ideas.

NOTE: If you are currently waiting on a $20 tier reward and you've already paid and DM'd me about it (or if you bought a year of Patreon subscription in advance) then you are entitled to those rewards, even after that tier is removed. I still need to order my new booth and those people are taking forever. :/

I think being able to see artwork made for the series like Dogs in Love would be neat! Maybe some scrapped designs or WIPs for their creation (I just need more Simphony salt in my life 😂)

insofar as i really loved the price is right extras and so if you did make that the 10$ tier i would move to and thus be paying more its kind of a bummer. But i think it's a reasonable and fair change so ya im fine with it

You could combine the $10 & $20 tiers, keep the voice acting, but add a limit, so that only X amount of people can redem them, meaning your work load is pretty much set each month, if your still on the fence about that.

jelloapocalypse

It already has a limit and it's still too much. Also, to be honest $20 is way too low of a rate for what I allow in the tier. Based on VA rates I do professionally if I wanted to keep that tier I'd need to pop it up to like $75 bare minimum.

Hear me out. Some sort of "Meme Review" / "Jello's Favorites" thing where you show us either your favorite memes of the month or just like the ones that stuck out to you the most. Maybe we could even send you some homemade memes of our own for you to honestly review. Something like a fan engagement thing included with the $10 tier. Just thinking out loud. Thank you for your time.

Hmm, In that case why not do a singular recording, instead of individual, of a certain amount of words, that people who pay for that tier can access. They could vote on the topic/theme of the recording so they have some influence on what type of thing they want.

A lot of youtubers have a tier where patrons can pay to have their name put on the of their videos. Would that maybe be something that's doable?

I like the idea floating around of voting on twitch streams, or other chill things you already want to do.

What if you added some of the stuff that’s in the $5 tier, like BTS, outtakes and bloopers into the $10 tier? And then replace all of that stuff in the $5 tier with things like, for example, Epithet Erased lore and reviews of cartoons that either inspired you or you feel influenced the animation industry. Or perhaps the $10 tier or even $20 tier could have interviews with the cast of Epithet Erased or people who helped you with the show’s creation.

Would definitely welcome more "Jello's thoughts on" for sure. For higher tiers, I definitely think "more bts stuff" is the way to go. Stuff like production assets (e.g. all the art commissioned for Dogs in Love), or maybe go whole hog and package all the assets into a folder and release the vegas/premier files for people to play around with at home.

If possible, I'd love to hear full recordings of you directing people in voice-acting booths (both as a way of learning more about your own directing style as well as a way of capturing any interesting gaffs or bloopers that occur). Obviously this'd be a situation where you first ask the actor whether they're comfortable with it before you record the session (especially if you decide to record video, too) but... I just think it would be cool to see. Alternatively, you could just record your own sessions of yourself acting for things when not under NDA, idk.

jelloapocalypse

This is a cool idea but unfortunately I don't direct people nearly enough to make this a regular tier :c

It could add some meat to a "behind the scenes" tier... though such a tier would probably just cause most of what you do for $5 BTS to be pushed into $10 or whatever, which feels a tad unfair to $5 who'd be left only with reviews... hmm. Regardless, tier or not, I hope you consider said audio-recordings of booth-sessions in the future, I think it'd be really neat.

As a $5 tier member, I really dont like the idea of benefits being taken away and having to pay twice as much if I want them back. I know some youtubers that do patron-only streams, and that some people really value the chance to have interaction that isnt drowned out in twitch chat. Something like game nights could be fun and a good incentive to move up a tier without taking stuff away from lower tiers.

(Also now that STiB is done, your patreon’s description is inaccurate; it is very STiB centric)

Hey I became a Patreon because I quite enjoyed StiB, Epithet Erased, and your video game clip shows that you have been doing with your friends. I have watched them so many times and I missed out on the chance to donate to the Epithet Erased fundraiser, so this was the only I could figure out how to show gratitude/support new stuff like Epithet Erased. Anyway I'm still learning how to use this site. A lot of these extras are really funny and great but they feel really weirdly organized, and I don't care for the fact that it won't let me listen to the audio entries more than once without downloading it. I honestly don't know what sort of content bonuses you should set aside for $10 Patreons, and I don't really want to ask for anything. I became a Patreon because I wanted you to continue what you were doing.
