Hello! I'm very excited to share the "TV edit" of the theme song for Prison of Plastic. This song is called Say No! There will be a full version of this song with three verses, but this is the version we'll be sending to Powerhouse to be fully animated, wooo!

Just like the first season's opening the vocals are by Sapphire, music by Plasterbrain, and the lyrics are by me!

LYRICS

How do you balance the irons in the fire
When you keep gettin’ burned and you live with a liar?
Terrified that you’re bein' inefficient
While spinning your plates and washin’ the dishes

Friends all say that you need to take a break before you’re broken
But you’re terrified because in your eyes you know you need to go and

File your taxes, breaking your back and wishing for freedom
Life's inelastic? Prison of Plastic? You’ve got to make it so

You can just say nooo

You won’t ever get to normal
But if you act sororal
Then maybe you could have a taste
Epithet Erased!

I <3 this! Molly is gonna take a stand and say NO and get her just freedom and perhaps repair the damage within the family to fix the bonds that were broken.

I can't wait for the full version. I'm PUMPED!

Does the tempo change partway through? Like it gets way faster. If you tap your foot to the first part, it wouldn't match up with the second part, kinda. I might not be describing this correctly.

GOD, that's a bop! Great work y'all! Love the explosion of energy that comes in about halfway!

Very nice, looking forward to the full version.

Awesome, can't wait for the full version. What I love most is how well it fits thematically, matching the struggle of Molly. The song and singer are going at the same pace at first, then the song suddenly jumps in speed and the singer has to clamber to catch up, all the way until she says "no" when she holds the word as she likes, and sings the rest of the song at her own pace. I assume this is supposed to illustrate how Molly's life is trying to keep up with frantic demands until this book where she reaches her breaking point and stands up for herself. I'm excited!

Note Sororal means to act like sisters
