This also includes the full, uninterrupted high-speed character nicknames from the scene where Rean is crushed by the falling heads. I know not everybody plays these games so I put the explanations for their gags up on the screen.

Mostly the first two though. And I'm gonna be real, story-wise those don't really matter.

Though I am spoiling maybe the only two or three cool things about the first game, so. Y'know! Fair warning!

Man some of these roasts were DELICIOUS. I do wish you could of found a way to sneak them into the final video. But, I'm a cynic.

it is amazing how you have all the correct trails opinions, and i'm still laughing at "Normal Man" EXCEPT laura and kurt are, yes, the same character- but one of them you love and the other you would be a fool to date. how do you square that circle? what's kurt's edge? is it that he has two edges? i can see, like, *numerically* he has one up on her, but what gives?? (you didn't ask for this, but the justification for dating laura: obviously the *player* should not date laura, but you know who is just about as boring and obsessive about Sword's as her? rean "i have a special shrine in my room just for my tachi" "the whole second game is about my quest to build the Coolest Sword" "one time my sword broke so i summoned the power of friendship as raw material to make a new sword with" schwarzer. they'd actually be good for each other! given that CS3 is cruel and unjust and you can't date Towa like any *reasonable* person would, laura's a decent backup pick)

The reason I like Kurt is because while he is boring he seems to exist *explicitly* to make fun of how bad Cold Steel 1's writing was. He and Juna go through several of the same beats that Rean and Alisa did in the first game and the entire time he is just saying, out loud, "This is stupid. Let's move past it. I want to get through this as fast as I can." It's like watching someone who already went through a game trying to expedite them as fast as possible, and I appreciate that. I also actually like his dynamic with Ash. I appreciate that in a cast of superpowered clowns Juna and Kurt are actually normal people, something we desperately need by the point of CSIII. Laura could literally be cut from the series and nothing of significance would be lost. Also I don't think you can use the "[CHARACTER] and Rean have good chemistry" argument because Rean is explicitly written to be a friend sponge who meshes well with everybody. I think I'd argue he actually has the LEAST chemistry with Laura because all they share is one hobby. Rean is a fully fleshed-out character and one of his many attributes happens to be "I am a swordsman". Laura's literal only character trait is "sword". When you get your pick of dates from a cast that has Towa, Alfin, Crow, Gaius, and Fie (among many others), why would you eeeeeeeeever pick Laura.
