Hey night owls!  I wanted to give a quick preview of a big upcoming project of mine called Sweetwater, a murder mystery/investigation series I've been working on since April! Sweetwater is an improvised role-playing show a little like Anime Campaign (which Epithet Erased was based on), though Sweetwater is a lot darker.

You can learn more about Sweetwater by checking out this post. The other post has image previews, but this is just an audio post to show off the theme song!

Lyrics by me. Instrumental by PLASTERBRAIN. Vocals by Elsie Lovelock! Note that this is a WIP version, so it's not the final song! I'm planning to have visuals to go along with this! Can't wait to show you guys!

LYRICS

With honeyed words and promises
He lead me to my fate
Eventide at the waterside
The devil’s sweet embrace

And as the venom filled my veins
To the water I was thrown
A silent voice that could not scream
My muscles turned to stone

And I sank down, down, down
And I sank down, down, down
To the bottom
To the bottom
To the bottom of the lake
You could wait ‘till the water dries
But by then it’d be too late
Filled me with his poisons
But I never saw his face

Here I go furiously refreshing the page again and again!

Chals

There's no quicker way to get me interested in a series than with an excellent piece of music.

Elsie is so fantastic, an excellent choice!

This is gorgeous! I really like slow, haunting instrumentation, and Elsie was a fantastic pick for vocals. She sounded kind of like the lead singer from The Band Perry for a minute there. Excellent work!

This song hits all those "listen on repeat" buttons for me. It reminded me of "The Poet and The Muse" by Old Gods of Asgard from Alan wake. If this song is at any point expanded to beyond a opening I will pay for it.

Code Reed

Kinda sounds like a medium asking a ghost how they died.

This is a really belated response but that was the #1 influence for this song so you nailed it!

Bersy

Belated validation is always valid and just to return the validation. You nailed that aesthetic. (I was really tempted to wait 7 months to post this, but I don't have that patience or attention span for a goof)
